Bio Photo Regarding sharing of my photos:

HELP YOURSELF!! Nothing pleases me more than helping people find their relatives, which may even turn out to be me. Unfettered access to such priceless photos and info benefits us all. And it can be hard or impossible to visit the cemeteries yourself sometimes, so I enjoy helping.

Note: On many of my memorials, there might be a lot more info provided than is apparent from the headstones. This is because I cannot resist the urge to research the people named on those headstones. I will use,,, et al, to fill in some blanks, to make the memorials more useful. This is especially true if the surnames are Smith or Jones. While I have no Smith or Jones in my direct ancestry, I have experienced the difficulty of researching those family names. I cannot pass a Smith or Jones headstone in a cemetery without photographing it!

My favorite location to shoot headstone pictures is western PA, which is where my ancestors all lived after their arrival from Europe. I visit the area often to visit cemeteries and photograph headstones, and will most certainly take pix of anyone whose last name is on the list below, no matter who they are.

I also am fond of photographing any headstones of military veterans and very young children.

If you see a memorial that has an error, needs linked to someone, or that you'd like to manage, please just ask!! The more we gravers communicate with each other, the more accurate the info will be for all.

Thank you so much for taking these photos. The quality of the photos of these old stones is magnificent! These are the ancestors of a dear friend of mine, and I can't wait for him to see them! Thanks again.

Betsy, I appreciate the edits and the time you put into getting it right. Over the past few weeks I have concentrated on loading the basic Stevenson Cemetery records into Find A Grave in hopes that contributors like you will add data to "connect the dots". Once I get a chance I will also add data to clarify family connections. One thing that would help is if you would use the Find A Grave edit feature (where possible). Take care and I hope your son enjoyed the trip to the Stevenson Cemetery. Tom

Thank you for adding a photo of her death certificate.

However, when you added it, you did not change the dialog box to "other" and it defaulted to "grave." I had a request for a headstone photo and now it thinks you added a headstone photo and the request will not be fulfilled.

You need to delete the photo of her death certificate.

Then you need to re-add the photo BUT on the screen where you add the photo, the word grave, person, other and something else will show up. You have to click on OTHER and THEN add your photo of her death certificate.

That way I can again request a headstone photo be taken.

RE: Stevenson Family
Hi Betsy,
Yes, the pictures I took were from the Stevenson cemetery. My relatives are Allen, McGranahan, Stevenson, Peirsol, Armour, Cope, Minnis, Roberts and Rhoades. They are all there.

Happy hunting,
