Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been facinated by cemeteries. I grew up across the street from a large cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas and would spend my summer afternoons wondering through the graves admiring the unique headstones. This love has followed me to adulthood as I travel with my job and prefer to pack a lunch and find a lovely cemetery to eat at and wander through than to eat in a restaurant. I just recently found Find A Grave when I began doing genealogy research. I was so touched to see that someone had been sweet and taken a photo of my baby girl's headstone and realized what a wonderful way to be productive when traveling Arkansas and enjoying my lunches and cemeteries.

I give my permission for family members to use the pictures of headstones that I have taken. I keep all of my pictures and will be happy to provide a high resolution picture through email.

John Web
The Sons of Confederate Veterans placed a tombstone for John Webb (Find A Grave #157861083) yesterday in Fairplay cemetery, Saline County, AR. We noticed you had posted a photo of his wife Sarah's stone and thought you might like to know John's grave is also marked. Only took a 145 years, but it's there now. Robert A. Edwards - Benton

You have added an obit for my sister Margaret in Global, find a grave Mem# 44150070. She is in the U S find a grave Mem# 46426318. If I am not mistaken, I believe the Global is for burial in foreign country or at sea. Please correct and let me know.

Georgia Lorene Bennett

Find A Grave Memorial# 134197012

The death date is wrong:

Look at head stone and you will see Mar 6, 2008.

I noticed the error while reading her husbands Obit (Oct 2005) where it said that "survivors - his wife Georgia..." so I took a closer look at the headstone and saw the 2008.

Thank you.

I am not part of the family or tree; I am just working on this for a friend.

I am wondering if you still have the unreduced photograph of her gravestone. It is too small to be able to read. If so, please report that unreduced one as they allow us to now show much larger photographs.

I really appreciate it!!!

RE: Ruth Irene Kelly Mason
Yes, second cousin.
My mother was her first cousin.
My grandmother, Rosa Lee Dodson Newcomb was the daughter of Clayborn & Virginia Dodson. They also had a daughter named Virginia and one named Alice. My mother was named Virginia Alice after her grandmother Dodson and her two aunts!! A lot of Virginia's in that family!! Well, Aunt Virginia wound up with the nickname "Jennie" and my mother with the nickname "Virgie" which she hated all her life!! I never got to meet your great-grandmother, Jennie. She died so early, but your great-grandfather, my great-uncle Tony was such a delight. I remember him and my grandpa James Arthur Newcomb talking Sunday afternoons away on the back porch of grandpa's house about old-times on the farm. I wish we could have somehow gotten those conversations down on paper or some medium so that we could all enjoy them the way we all did back then.

Nice hearing from you.
Write again,

Clement Herman Henry Taphorn
Clement Herman Henry Taphorn is my Great-Great Grandfather. I would love to exchange any info on him and his family. To be truthful, I have very little info on the Taphorns. Ernest Taphorn is my Great Grandfather. Clemons Henry is my Grandfather and his daughter, Evelyn Louise Taphorn is my mother. Thank you in advance. Cissy Flew Nichols
