Good morning Pat! I really would like to keep the memorial you created because some people will remember her being there but what about having two different memorial numbers? I'm sorry! I didn't mean to cause this trouble!!! I'm going to delete my memorial and request a transfer from your original one. That way you still get the credit you are due! :)

I would just make a note on the memorial page of this grave being moved rather than delete the memorial. I guess that would be alright wouldn't it? Or would it?

I found an official death record on Ancestry.com that says he died 25 Jan 1934 in Spartanburg CO SC at age 88. It is certificate number 002843 in Volume 5 of SC Death Records, 1821-1961. It looks like his tombstone might say 1924, but if it does, I think the engraver may have made a mistake.
here is the rest

I am trying to find my step grandfather in Lauren's, S.C. My grandmother was Ella "Pearl" Huggins Putnam and Mr. Putnam died in 1937. Some time after that my grand mother married Mr. Ball. Now that I am doing the family history, no one that is still alive knows what his first name was. My grandmother is married next to her 1st husband, Albert Putnam, but I cannot find Mr. Ball. If anyone can help me it would be appreciated. I know she had no married Mr. Ball before 1940 as the census shows that only she and my dad were living together.

I thought the same thing. But the dates match up with the death record and the headstone, and I can't find a death certificate for Claude Olin Jr.

Pat, thank you so much for the work you do with Find A Grave, you and others like you are making it possible for people like me who are unable because of age and health to visit cemeteries may still find the grave of their extended families. I hope you won't mind my copying you photos for my family files on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker. I am trying so hard to get as much as I can on my family files for my descendants and others to be able to see their heritage. I started on this journey in the 80's, and am still working, but it won't be too much longer. The Lord has been good to me to allow me this much time. May God richly bless you for helping others in the way you are doing.

I seen you handle my aunt Elizabeth T Cooper
Can you link her to her mother who is Lottie Mae Hughes Franklin (Marion, nc) and her father is Hugh Vernon Taylor (Kingsport, TN)? They are my grandparents and her sister is Margaret Taylor Roland (Marion, NC) Thank you.

Thanks so much and good luck finding your dad. I am related to the Jay, Gross and Carteret families in your area. If I see any of my relatives under your name I will let you know. I am just beginning my search on the Jay side. My mom is just about the only one still alive on that side of the family in that area that I know of. Thanks again!
