Hi,Dave Iforgot to tell you about "Ours".edited by Captain Joseph Keith Newell.This is the book I've been using to try to find soldiers of 10th regiment from West Springfield.All soldiers that are buried in West Springfield are listed on Find A Grave.Thanks to Find A Grave I was able to find James Hills buried at Andersonville and veterans who moved to Cal.

Hi,Dave,Park St . Cem. is unlocked right now.We try to keep it unlocked because we feel there is less vandalism.The kids use it as a shortcut to the baseball court behind it.I did fill out a police report about the White stone being vandalized again.We just had it repaired!!!I think Tamara,the gravestone repairer will want it locked.I went in there 3 yrs ago and pulled out 500 barrels of trash.Yes,I am local-I live on Kings Highway,West Springfield.I was just appointed to Historical Commission because of my interest in cemeteries.2 teens and myself pulled tombstones away from church.Yes,they were being used for rainwater.They better not try that again.The Smiths buried here in Park St. are part of my family tree.Also the Smiths buried in Westfield are part of my family tree.I have heard of the Mass. Gen. Society.

Hi,Dave,yes this is what I wanted for her.Also the CIVIL WAR MONUMENT has been restored and added to Meeting House Hill.Our CPA money is still working at Park St. Cem.It will be interesting to see how these stones look.All the ones that will be repaired are flagged with a blue flag.The first part of grant was finished and WHITE monument was restored.It lasted 1 week before it was vandalized again.I filled out a form at police station reporting this damage.Next step will be security cameras and more lights.If we chain gate,vandals climb over fence.Thank you for all you do.
|Roberta Cyr||Johann Stoeckel|
A lady named Bonnie sent me an email about her great grandfather Johann Stoeckel buried in Forestdale cemetery, Holyoke, Mass. Plot: old SG 202. You have the photo of the headstone on his memorial. She said the cemetery card says Section West. She's looking for her great grandmother, (his wife) Barbara Schneider Stoeckel, just wondering if you knew who she could contact to find out where she was buried, if not with her husband in this same cemetery.
Thanks for any help.

|Mary E. Warner||Miriam (Smith) Warner|
Dave, back in 2011 you transferred the Memorial you created for Miriam (Smith) Warner #38218013, to me. I have done a lot of research within the biography. In the book, "The Descendants of Andrew Warner", on pages 116-117, it indicates that Miriam was an ancestor of Joseph Smith Jr., the spark which began the Mormon collective. Any ideas what the lineage from Joseph Smith Jr. to Miriam (Smith) Warner might be? Your help would be appreciated.
