On November 14, 1952, a U.S. Air Force C-119 transport crashed in Korea, killing all 44 personnel aboard. One narrative states it was evacuating wounded soldiers from Seoul to Japan. Other narratives suggest it was bringing in soldiers for combat duty. In either case, please pay tribute by visiting the fallen's memorials starting with Capt. Robert L Schenck|

Tim, in your Findagrave entry for the above fellow, you ask if he is a son of George H. Ricker? Yes, he is. Tim's mother was Estelle Stevens Ricker, daughter of Frank Dana Stevens of Wichita, KS and his first wife Lilian Humphrey. Estelle's obit states that her son John was killed in a plane crash.

Hi--I have them in Crook County. BUT what is interesting to me is that County is listed "Rural -- outside, City---Prineville, Oregon, name of hospital or institution--Wolf Mountain, Oregon. No where does it list Crook County, but I must have found them in the Crook County DCs. Also, on the DCs for Bittner, Kirtland and Heiderstadt they are listed as "Air Crash in which patient was passenger". McShane doesn't list anything, so I guess he was the pilot??? Not sure if that helps or not!! Let me know if you need more info. Thanks, Diana
