Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Friends call me Gal or Galski. I was born in Montana, but now I live in Tacoma, Wa. & I love this site. This all started for me in my 27 years search for my Grandfathers' burial site. Thanks to find a grave, I was able to keep a promise to my mother. The promise was to find his burial spot and place a headstone in his memory. My Granddad, "Isaac Newton Goings", buried in Goodland, Kansas, now has a headstone 93 years after his death. Please visit his Memorial page and maybe you will be inspired to never give up a search. Just type in Isaac Newton Goings to your right.
I would like to give a heart felt thanks to Larry & Sherri Wilkerson for thier help in finding his grave and to John & Judy Bateman who helped us in setting the stone. Thanks ever so much.
Thanks also to everyone who checks into one of my postings -I hope it helps to connect with lost loves ones and members of the family.
I will be happy to add additional information, obits are welcome and I will make corrections to my postings if they are brought to my attention.
Have a great day!

I had not even looked at the transferred record yet when posting the earlier message, but now have, and VERY MUCH appreciate the inclusion of the headstone photo. Thank you! ~ Yvonne

William Robert Goings memorial
Hello, I have rec'd notice that Susie & Rod Smith have requested that I take down my memorial # 101389120 for Wm. Robt. Goings, my great-grandfather (through his daughter Ida); it is said to duplicate an earlier memorial for him that appears to be yours. If you are not a direct descendant, I would very much like to retain the memorial, or to assume management of the earlier one. Thank you for your consideration of this request. Yvonne Angelbeck

2 Deem Cemetery sites
Have you noticed that someone has created a second Deem Cemetery for Wood County? It has no listings at this point. Also, it has a map that puts the cemetery on the wrong side of the river from where I understand it to be. I'd suggest that you contact and ask that the duplicate cemetery be deleted.

RE: Elizabeth Page Leach
Thank you very much for the information. I have tentatively located Leachtown but not the cemetery, particularly at the level of detail that you provide. I saw the Deem Cemetery on, and it's going to be one of my next stops. Right now, I'm trying to connect the Leaches in four Ohio cemeteries. They moved to Ohio after George, Willis' father, was awarded land there for his service in the Revolutionary War. Willis would return to West Virginia from time to time to check on land the family still owned there and died of a heart attack, according to his obituary. He was buried in Ohio. I don't know whether you realize it or not, but Elizabeth (Page) Leach and her husband, John Barnett Leach, were first cousins. Her mother and his father were children of George Leach. Marriages like that used to happen from time to time. Elizabeth and John are my third-great-grandparents.
