I was born and raised in Atlanta, but have lived most of my adulthood in Charlotte, North Carolina. Coincidentally I ended up right where my roots are on my father's side of the family. Genealogy is my passion and I never met a cemetery I didn't like. I'm also into historic preservation, both of buildings and the lives of people no longer with us.
As the daughter of a general and great-granddaughter of 3 Confederate veterans, I like to note military records of veterans on their findagrave memorials.
I welcome corrections/additions, but will no longer link to a "burial unknown" person. I have found this leads to duplicates.

Hi,
I want to thank you for posting the info on Mary Jennie who married Baxter redwine Crump on Find A Grave. The Crump family is on my Fathers side. I live in Mint Hill and have lots of info around to study. Mary Jennie's father James Crump is burried at Phildelphia {resbyterian Church. I first found the family on the 1880 census records with no mother listed. They left the J off of the James and it pulls up under Ames Crump. I did find the death certificate for Mary Jennie that listed Sallie Helms as her mother. I can't find any records on the other children. The last three children listed on the same census record are the children of Margaret Crump.
Do yo have any other information on this Crump family? Thanks for your help.

You are welcome. When somebody expresses an interest in a memorial, I always try to find more information for it. Then I realized that you were still working on it. I found a William G. Mumpower who live from 1912-1963. I only found the death index so it didn't say much. I don't know if this is Gammon or not. The birth year matches. I will go back to Forest Lawn hopefully this week sometime and look for the graves. I posted them in the photo requests to remind me.

No need to apologize for sending lots of additions and corrections--I'm always glad to see the memorials made more complete. I think it's only been twice that I've had to request that people slow down a bit in what they send. Thanks for the links you provided for children of Mack and Tecora Lafoy. I'm looking for the burial cemetery of Nannie Lafoy Harris and her husband Corum Alexander Harris.
