It's been just recently that I've discovered the fun of tracing roots - and as a result I now find myself in the local cemeteries quite often trying to unravel one mystery or another. I'm glad this site is here to help preserve the history which is rapidly disappearing. I enjoy the hunt and the satisfaction which comes from helping someone out who may not be able to make it to beautiful Southern Illinois themself. Happy hunting to everyone! Steph|

Sorry, didn't mean to jump the gun on her. Hope she is recovering nicely. The memorial is no longer there. When the time comes I'm sure another one will be created, hopefully it will not be anytime soon!

I have checked other sites but will continue my search. If I find anything I will let you know so that you can add it to the website. Thanks for your time!

I am looking for information on Margaret Ehler. Her death certificated states she was buried in Illinois. Here is the information:
Margaret Ehler, "Michigan, Deaths and Burials, 1800-1995"
Name: Margaret Ehler
Burial Date: 01 Oct 1954
Burial Place: Marissa, Illinois
Death Date: 30 Sep 1954
Death Place: Watervliet, Berrien, Michigan
Birth Date: 02 Apr 1869
Birthplace: Marissa, Illinois
Marital Status: Widowed
Spouse's Name: William E. Ehler
Father's Name: James R. Wagey
Mother's Name: Sarah Jane Mcferron
This is the only headstone I can see in the Marissa cemetery. (Margaret C. Miles) But too much of the information is different. Is it possible that the husbands middle name is Emmell and that is the "E" listed in William E. Ehler on the death certificate? I have her maiden name as Wagey, but his headstone states it's Miles. Was she married a second time? It would seem that they are different people, but her birth and death dates line up? Any ideas for me? Thanks so much!

Sure, I would be happy to take the transfer. thank you
I see that you are maintaining Carl and Maria Vogt as well as most of their children. Their youngest daughter (Lydia Lena) was my grandmother. I just entered her and my grandfather (Henry Biermann). Thank you so much for the picture. I am working on the genealogy of my mother-in-law's family. She is 94 and very excited about the research. Thanks again for adding another puzzle piece.

That's completely up to you. I'll take it if you want since the Rev and Antje were my great great grandparents. I need to make a visit to Campbell Hill to visit my family's history.
