Bio and Links
Bio Photo I AM A CANCER SURVIVER but i'm still recovering from the effects of chemo so**PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH MY RESPONSE** Please ask for transfers when you see a memorial that is your relation (per modified FAG rules). I've had difficulties with memorials that are managed by Historical Societies and similar organizations. They consistently fail to respond to correction requests.

Only if you are related and/or the memorial is part of your family ancestry research: "USE EDIT BUTTON" to request transfers and corrections.

Like most of you I have ancestors that I will not transfer which include the following surnames; Weston, Britten, Shearer, Western, Taylor, Dibble, Keillor, Trenholm, Smith, Kentz, Bowman, Laird, Larocque/LaRock, Pelkey/Pelletier/Peltier, Plouffe/Ploof, Poirier, Leboeuf/LaBatt, LaGuerre/Ward, Long, Millikin, DuBois/Woods, Conlin, Kerr, Bishop, Runnells, Hall, Gardner, Blair, Brown, Beem, Small, Jones, Fitzsimmons, Myers and their spouses and descendents.

Most of my ancestors are from Canada, New York, Michigan and Minnesota. (Weston/Western, Britten, Shearer, Larocque/LaRock, DuBois/Woods, Taylor, Millkin/Milliken, Pelkey/Pelletier/Peltier, Keillor, Laird, Conlin, Kerr, Smith, Bowman, Kentz and Long).

My wife, Anita's ancestors are from the states of Ohio, Michigan, Maine, Iowa, Minnesota, Connecticut, and New York. (Bishop, Runnells/Reynolds, Blair, Myers, Brown, Beem, Small, Ewing, Jones, Hall, Gardner, Cox and Fitzsimmons)

Counties in Michigan include Huron, St Clair, Bay, Benzie, Saginaw, Genesee, Wexford, Manistee, Grand Traverse, Tuscola, Branch, Oakland, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Kalamazoo, Oakland, Ingham, Chippewa, Jackson and Hillsdale.

Others may be added later!

RE: St. Michael's Cemetery
Hi Rich,
I am trying to get some clarification regarding the location of remains. The first recorded burial at St. Michael the Archangel was on March 7, 1850. The location is not recorded. Some of the burials say "Belleville" or "Hungerford". There was a Catholic Church built in Sugar Island on the south side of Stoco Lake shortly after the arrival of Father Michael Brennan in 1829. He also is responsible for the "Mission of Belleville" in 1829 (now St. Michael the Archangel). I have written emails to both St. Michael's and the Quinte branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society to see if anyone can shed some light on this. I will let you know any information I get from them.
Take care, cousin!

Perry family members in Waldron, Hillsdale, MI
Thanks so much, Richard, for your prompt acceptance of edits submitted following my research on my ancestors--from Ralph and Charlotte Perry (my g g grandparents) in Waldron Cemetery, MI.

I was at the cemetery for the first time a month ago, and expect to back in a couple weeks, as well. I'm finding this genealogical experience to be so meaningful. My second trip will be SO much better because of the work I've done and the groundwork you also laid through your work.

Blessings, David Ferguson

Vivian Lovina Hays Marian
Richard - I have tears in my eyes as I write this message - I think I have found a son of Vivian Marian's(mem. #54990178- Iowa) here in Cape Girardeau. You may already know this but I enjoyed reading your bio for her so much, it made me search a little harder. His name is Albert Marion - spelled with "o" instead of "a". he was African American, and is buried in an unknown grave marked P B - location unknown and no marker.
I added some of your information on his bio memorial #116100841. Hope this was alright. Let me know please if it is not or if we need to add any more. Thank you for all your work on find-a-grave. This is my hobby or my calling as you may say - I have taken pictures of all graves in our city cemeteries and am now adding information as time permits.

Is this person of interest to you? Is she a descendent? According to the cemetery index, she is in Hillsdale Cemetery in Petrolia, Ontario. Please don't post a request for photo for Hillsdale Cemetery until I have the opportunity to locate her.

Florence Allison Kerr
Hi Rich,

Hope you are recovering! We will keep you in our prayers for healing.

Do you know where Florence is actually buried? I've put her in Colfax, and I don't normally create a findagrave memorial for someone unless I know where they're buried (or mark it unknown). I wonder if I found the baby's death record in the films I have at the FHC and created the memorial. That would make tigerlily's memorial incorrect. (and yes, I know who mantains those memorials.)
Not sure how to proceed, don't have any plans to head to the FHC in the near future.
Regards,
Maureen
