Stuart plot photos & memorials
Thank you so much for the photos and memorial information on the Stuarts.

Charles and his wife Jane Lovey Watson are the subjets of reserach I did at the Mercer Co Historial Society for a person from Canada. As the Canadian says, what high drama there was in 1882 in North Henderson, Illinois.
Jane Lovey Stuart shot another doctor in North Henderson at 4 am on thanksgiving day of 1882. the second doctor died the following March and Lovey was tried for the crime, as was her husband Charles (it was his gun).

The doctor who was shot was an ancester of mine, William H Brown, of the family who laid out the town of North Henderson. The story of their relationship had everything... infidelty, extortion, attempted suicide, illegitimate child, violence between the 2 doctors.
Anyway, thank you for all your help!
