I have been doing genealogy since 1975 off and on. I like to help others with their search as I have been helped so much. That's what it's all about - helping one another. If anyone would like to copy a photo I have put on findagrave that is fine with me.

RE: Schneider stone
While I was going through the records to see if I was in the right spot, I found the record below, on his South side. Ruth is on his North side.
Riemenschneider I had a guess was prior to Americanizing the name but YOU beat me to the search. THANK YOU for that.
I created Ruth's memorial and another Guess is the Wife of Louis but I cannot find proof to link. Do you have that proof PLEASE???

It is not impossible they had stones at one time.
Gophers control the place. Especially if they are small stones like the one on that pic. Easy to mow over but easy to bury. Upright stones are ran over by lawn mowers and equipment for the next burial so you 50/50 chance for the gophers. I have dug out stones laid within the year. I have dug out stones laid after 1847. fresh loose dirt is critical.
I dug out 4 stones yesterday. 2 were more then half buried under 3 inches of grass. I cannot really tell you how I found them, sometimes they guild me I have no idea why. The key is to throw the dirt away from the stone without covering another stone and STOMPING DOWN remaining mound. If I stomp down the remaining mound I rarely have redig when I check back.
It is good exercise and I often get to watch the deer while I do it. Especially in this U area. Closer to the road North were 2 of the digouts and the near buried were FAR across and below the cemetery where the hawks and other birds are fun. And yesterday we had fun with wind. Literally body slammed me into my truck. I took pictures of the valley from Louse's space. You cannot not see anything but this haze from ground up and 15 traffic lights were out on my way home. We woke up to 5 inches of snow this morning. which stinks for 2 other of my searches with no stones because I Cannot get to them. I was there Mon and yesterday and I have Mapped out to be RIGHT ON THEM and SNOW has buried all of us.

While talking to a gentleman a couple years back in that cemetery, he said the stones are for the living. To make us feel better and remember. When weather and age take the stones, most of the family of the deceased have also succumbed.
THIS SITE is Great and perfect to get these stone before time loses them but the deceased they are memorializing is beyond any concern.
I see a tower stone and it scares me. I will likely have to read it in brail for the shadows or soft worn engraving. 2 flat stones I did have yesterday were not readable. I used the records to compare thank god someone else had posted those. A line of 5 small simple stones name-years, you have to play with sun or angles to see them. With the wind there was no chance of light. They are mine and I have not gotten to them yet to see how they turned out YET but the bruise on my arm and knew from my truck are clear as the snow this morning.

13282103 Maida Fellows Werner
I came across a photo request for Maida Werner. She is already set up with the memorial number listed above. It looks like yours is a duplicate of the one I did in July 2014.

Colo Cemetery Society
Colo Cemetery, Iowa
Would it be possible to let the(Colo Cemetery Society)add new burial informatiom in the Colo Cemetery, Iowa or maybe give us 24-48 hours to do so- this way we can add the Cemetery plot locations. When you add them we are unable to include the location in the cemetery, or if you know of a way that the Cemetery Society can add information to ones you have already included please let us know, that would be fine too. This will eliminate duplicates like the one added yesterday that we already had on this site. THANKS, appreciate your assistance.

Shirley Richison Fields
Sarah E Scovill
Sarah's parents are D.W. & K. RICHESON instead of D.W. & K Scovill. Would you mind making that correction. Thank you.

Abbie Spaulding # 69201925
I may have made a mistake on linking Abbie's third husband. The correct name to link is William Rahn # 6920990.

Thanks, Dick Banning
