"It is wise for us to return to the history of our ancestors. Those who do not look upon themselves and their fellow man as links connecting the past with the future, do not perform their duty to the world."|
By Daniel Webster
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marble stone
It reaches out, to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know, that we'd exist
You died, and we were born
Yet each of us, are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone
Our blood contracts, and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
We wonder how you lived and loved
We wonder if you knew
That someday we would find this spot
And come to visit you.

|Sara Jones||Thank you|
I wanted to write you to thank you for adding a picture of my father and grandma's headstone to this site. I live in Alabama now and are able to go and visit. I also lost my only picture I had from the last time I was able to visit. I came across this site through ancestry.com. Thank you again
|Roxanne Weathers||Wanted to share this with you. Rox|
I thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday
and days before that too.
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name.
All I have are memories
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake
with which I'll never part.
God has you in His keeping,
I have you in my heart.
