I have research going on with several different family trees. I have lived in Omaruru, Namibia, Africa since 1993 and don't get back to the States very often but I have found this sight a great way to keep up with my research and to add people to the web sight. My late husband and I had a small computer company here in Omaruru. I have been doing research for over 20 years. Some of my families are Sniders, Arants, Gantt, Gaddis, Bass, Lancaster, Farmer, Sewell, Brocks, Funderburk. My husband's are McFadden, Davis, Carter, Nelson, Byrd, Haynes, Bradford. My first husband's family is Yocom. I am also a member of the Baha'i Faith and there are a gooup of us that are adding early Baha'is and friends to the memorial.
RE: Lillie Abercombie I'll check it again in a month or so, but make sure you looked at all the images. I posted three of them. The temporary marker, an overview of the site and a close up on the headstone. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=160213245
Sometimes the 'additional photos' link can be easily overlooked.
The headstone hadn't been updated as of yesterday with the date of death.
RE: Benjamin Rieves Ford Dorothy was my grandfather's 2nd wife. Her daughters are my late mothers half-sisters, which means they are my Aunts - although just a few years older than me. Sadly, I never lived close to them and do not get to see them often, but we have remained in contact. Thank you for posting Dorothy's memorial page.
RE: John and Bill DeVane Good morning....I'm not sure which John and Bill you're referring to though, if you could send me their memorial# I'll look if I have information on their mother Catherine...I'm sure we're cousins somewhere, have a wonderful day....
Thomas P. Brock Thanks for the info. on Thomas' father's name. I have changed it from John Harmel Brock to John Hamel Brock. Hopefully this will help me knock down my "brick wall" and find more kinfolk now that I have the right name!!! :)
RE: the 4 Loeb graves Glad you liked the pictures - and I've happily transferred them over to your care. I did a bit of searching around, but had no luck -- but I have an idea or two of where to look for some clues. Stay tuned -- hopefully I'll have some info for you by this time next week on what happened -- now I'm curious! My best, Cor.
