A member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Genealogical Society of South Whidbey Island, I have been an avid amateur genealogist for over 30 years and am a regular contributor to the Montgomery Co NY GenWeb. Without the generosity of others, I would never have been so successful in tracing my own roots, so I delight in helping others discover theirs. I love walking cemeteries and poring over old records. I respectfully add memorials in remembrance of those who have gone before us. I strive for accuracy. However, if you are a family member who wishes one be removed or have info/corrections or photos to be added, please contact me or if you would like the memorial transferred to you, I will be happy to do so. Please contact me regarding the use of any of the bios, obits or photos I have put online.
Decanter Grave Hi! I don't know if these are relatives of yours but when I was at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Niagara County, I noticed a grave for a couple named Devantier. I posted the information and a photo. Ellen
I'd like to first thank you very much for the photo that you submitted of Walter & Ruth Johnson's marker at Langley Woodman. So very kind of you to do! Secondly, with your permission, I'd like to add your photo to my family tree on ancestry.com. All photo credit would be given to you on the photo. Please let me know if that would be acceptable to you.
Edit tab Just wanted to be sure you are aware of edits being sent through find a grave that appear under the edit tab (look at top of page where this message appears for edit tab). I sent you one about 2 weeks ago that is still pending. If there is a number showing on the tab, there are edits sent to you that you can approve or decline. A lot of contributors are not aware of these edits being sent because you don't receive an email on them. These edits only stay there for 21 days, then are automatically accepted and your memorials are changed. Thought you might want to check them and review then before your memorials are changed without your knowledge if you didn't know about the edits. If you only want to accept or decline some of them, be sure to set the others as Ignore before you click the process button at the bottom of the page - as they come in defaulted to Accept - and when you hit that process button, all on that page will go through. The Ignore can be used only for 21 days - at that point it will be accepted. If you already knew of this, please excuse the explanation, but so many contributors are not aware of it -- so I'm trying to help spread the word.
