If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Hi Michael! Hey can you do me a favor and pull the death cert off this memorial? I do not post them as that I do not own them. If there is any information I missed on the memorial, please let me know and I will transcribe it. Thanks, Jan

Your welcome. Looked for 2 months on and off. Luckily I spotted who I think is his brothers new stone erected in May for being in the cival war and we counted plot spaces...and there he was. Afraid he had no stone, but found it!
Have a good day!

Your Welcome! Yes, All the marker there were really old and weathered. His was one of the ones that you could actually read part of it clearly.

Same problem, duplicate of one made in April at High Bridge Cem.

Your memorial for Charles at High Bridge Cem is a duplicate of one made in April of the same year...yours made in July.

While doing family research, I noticed that you have entered a memorial for Samuel B. Smeltzer in St. Brigid Cemetery in Lilly, Cambria County, Pa. You do have quite a bit of information entered for him so I was wondering if you had a family connection to the Smeltzers? My mother was a Smeltzer born in Altoona, Pa.
