RE: Jerry Mire Boyd Memorial
Thanks for your reply, we may need to at some point compare notes. My Gill line is through my dad - Loftin Lawrence Gill (1921 - 1997) his dad William Linzie Gill (1864 - 1940) both born in Arkansas as was I but raised in Oregon. Great grandfather John Gill; per family died about 1870? and that is a mystery also. The Boyd line is through my mom - Ida Lee Boyd (1925 - 2003) her dad Oscar Grady Boyd but went by name Sam (1900 approx. to 1977) his dad Lee Jackson (?1874 - 1958) his dad Thomas H.B. Boyd a brother to the William J. Boyd that I spoke of. Just so much confusion on both, and knew that there was half sister named Lucy Gill born about 1884; Grandpa had at least 17 children from 3 of 4 marriages. I thought maybe I stumbled on something. Best information I get is falling into it. Thanks Sandy

Jerry Mire Boyd Memorial
I may be mistaken, but I believe this person may be also one in my Boyd lineage, do you know if his parents were William J. Boyd born about 1841 or 1842 and Martha C.? Boyd? If so, do you know if his dad William J. Boyd can be found in Upshur County, Texas census in 1850 and 1860 in Wood County, Texas. The Jerry Mire I know of was married to a Lucy ? Been trying for many years to track my Gill/Boyd ancestry. Thank you for sponsoring this memorial. Sandy

RE: Goins
I am the gr gr grandson of Rance Goins. My family has always known where he is buried. I have been researching my family for more than 30 years so I too have spent much time on the Goins family history.

Ruffatto
You are very welcome Harv. I added a couple of others to the cemetery. Everyone was buried together. I noticed their names changed to Ruffatt. Mary Ruffatto is buried next to Andra, however, Find A Grave has her listed as Raffatt, I have submitted a correction based on her headstone. I added her picture also. Also, near them are Sylvia and Lucille Ruffatt. I added their pictures also.

I saw several Morris' in Paris. I noticed you said you were hunting for Morris'. The cemetery is missing a lot of profiles. If there is anyone you suspect might be buried there, let me know and I can check it out for you.

Happy hunting and thanks for you commitment to Find A Grave.

Hi! Reference your photo request(s) at Elmwood Cemetery in River Forest, Illinois.

I am one of the few people who actually photographs at this cemetery. There are over 70,000 burials in the cemetery, so there is no way that any photo volunteer is going to be able to find the graves unless you provide the plot location. The cemetery lots are also mostly unmarked which makes finding graves here very challenging.

If you call the cemetery they should provide you the grave plot.

Elmwood Cemetery: (708) 453-0273

The cemetery will not provide the grave plot to photo volunteers.

If you then send me the names and burial plots I should be able to provide you photos within a week or two afterwards (depending upon my schedule and Chicago weather).

Just so you know, the Find A Grave Help files also state that it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the burial plot location.

If you have any questions in regards to this information, please let me know.

RE: Joseph Ferris.
Not related either. :-) Just paying it backward and forward for the help others have given. I keep wanting to say I almost have this cemetery complete... but LOL.... that's not possible as it's still active. I have 95% of the pictures posted... I'm sure I won't get to 100%... but I'm about as done as I will be soon. :-) Thanks for all the work you've done!!!

RE: Combs family
Glad to help. I am not related to this family but do newspaper research and follow up with public family trees on Ancestry.com. It helps fill a lot of holes.

Thanks for all you do to promote family genealogies.
