Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have had a passing interest in family geneology for a long time, but only got into it more in the last few years.

I am interested in Rosenthal, Schechinger, Sondag, Book, & Heller. My extended family came from Germany in the 1800's & lived in western Iowa.

I am also interested in Carson in Chicago & Goddette/Martin in Vermont.

If you find any errors, duplicates, typos, etc, in any of my entries, please let me know. I will be glad to fix them. Please use the Edit tab, Suggest a Correction (SAC). If you have more information, I will add it or release management to you if you are a relative or friend.

I wanted to thank you for posting my Great Grandmothers tombstone up. I am searching for my Grandmothers ashes that were sent to Effie in the 1940s. her name was Verna Ruth Waldow (maiden name would have been Corder or sound like it) do you happen to know of the family? Any information would be very helpful…my Grandmother Verna passed away when my father was 4 and never knew much about that side of the family. Thank you

It's my policy to accurately cite. A project such as mine isn't accomplished alone!

Thank you!

Michael Peter Hunt
Dear Patty C,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History of the 89th Division, and confirmed by his gravestone, Michael Peter Hunt was also a member of this unit. He was gassed on 8/9/1918.

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but want to eventually publish something. Would it be permissible to use your photograph of the grave of Michael Peter Hunt (Find A Grave Memorial# 77407674) should I eventually publish something?

Thank you,

With warm regards,

Bryan Anderson

You're right, of course. Living in Southern California where the weather is always nice, I forget what other people are dealing with (rain, snow, ice storms). If the cemetery has already been photographed, there probably won't be anything to find. His wife, Rebecca, is in a different cemetery and has no stone, and his son, David, is in City View Cemetery, and he has no stone, either. Maybe they just didn't believe in marking their last resting place. Judy
