I have lived in Platte County, Missouri all my life and since retirement, I now have time to work on Family Tree. My father's family came to Platte County abt 1890 and my mother's family came to Platte County abt 1850. My wife's family have lived in Platte County since 1841. I volunteer at the Platte County Historical Society and enjoy finding families at cemeteries.|

I have found a marriage record for this couple on 5 Sep 1865, but in Bowling Green (Warren County), KY, not in Platte County.

Thank you for adding that my father was married twice in order to clear up any confusion since both wife's names are Pat.

I met you in MO a few years ago researching Newman and Mitchell.
Sorry that you couldn't find a grave marker for Cornelia....does the cemetery know where she is buried. What would be a cost of a small marker with just hew name?
We are having a Mitchell reunion in Lewistown, MT in 2 weeks.
Glad to meet up with you again. Thanks for all you do. Carma (Mitchell) Gilligan

I need help with my mom's side of the family. My 4th great grandparents were John Hulse and Mary Malone Ellington, I believe they died in Clay Co, Mo and were buried in Paradise Cemetery.
However Mary Malone Ellington two brothers are buried in Ridgely Cemetery and its believe there mother Mary Malone(Dupuy)Ellington is buried there too around 1850. Is there only records of the cemetery to try and find her.

Thank you for transferring my uncles' Find a Grave pages to me.

Thank you for the information regarding the Besinger's gravestones. Do you have an exact location of their burial, since there are no gravestones? Do you have any idea how I may find out this information, if you do not have this record?

Possibly you can help us. We were in Weston, Mo on 5/7/16 and went to several cemeteries, Laurel Hill being one of them. I do Ancestry and I was looking for my husbands G-G grandparents, Fredrick (Fredrik)and Anastice Salle (Salie) headstones there. We went to the Weston Museum and went through the book for Laurel Hill Cemetery (we also went walking for nearly an hour)and never found a head stone. Do you happen to know if a headstone exists for of his G-G grandparents? If so where in that cemetery? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!
I have added Jennie Peter's Obit to her memorial.
She was spouse to my g-grandmother's brother.
If you rather it not be an addition I will remove it.
Thank you for creating her memorial.

Thank you for posting the news article about the death of Robert W. Holmes. Are you a relative? Do you have other information about him? There's information in the story that is different from other information I have about him. I didn't know he was an orphan. I thought he traveled to Missouri with his mother Catherine Wadsworth. It's an exciting find and I'm trying to piece things together. Again, thanks for posting this, and please let me know if you have other info.
