|George Buteau||Grace Thorpe wife of George Buteau|
You have my step-grandmother's last name incorrect. It is Thorpe, not Thorpi. I understand the error as the photo of the grave marker does not clearly show the E that follows Thorp- it looks more like an I but is in reality an E. Following is her obituary.

|Graceti||Hart at Case Cemetery|
Thank you so much Richard for fulfilling my photo requests. It's very exciting to see the photos. Many Harts are buried at this cemetery -it makes me wonder about all the Hart relatives that may have visited this cemetery over the years and stood in front of all the headstones. It has been a great weekend for me - I had another photo request fulfilled - also of Hart family in New York.
May I use your photos on my tree at Ancestry?
Many thanks again for your time and effort.

|Kathy F.||Thank You!|
Thank you for the photo of my grandmother's gravestone -Rena May Fair- in West Avon Congregational Church's cemetery. I took a chance on searching for it and was suprised to see a picture of it. I rarely get to Avon anymore so it is great to be able to have a picture of it. Thanks! Kathy Fair Farrington

Thank you for your prompt answer.
There is the story about her husband, Orrin Woodford, in a book I just purchased. "Avon, Connecticut" an historical story by Mary Francis Mackie, with the complete story about the murder. I found the story on the enternet before and can't remember where. He was in a drunken rage and literaly butchered her. Back then they describe everything in detail and it was hard to read about it.
He was sent to the Connecticut State Prison, Wetherefield, Hartford Co., Ct., where he died on March 26, 1856. I have not been able to find out where he was buried.
Also, do you have any information in your records if Orrin's parents are buried there? I have all the Woodford's, in my line, found, except them.
Josiah Woodford born in 1765 and died in Burlington, Hartford, Ct. in 1815.
His wife, Orrin's mother, Lois Humphry Woodford born 1767 and died in Burlington in 1807.
Boy, if you could find those two it would be such a find for me. I could connect all the Woodford's from my grandfather to Thomas Woodford the immigrant. :)
Thank you again for all your help,
