We love paying homage to our ancestors and extending our genealogical interests to Find A Grave by linking family members to each other. Hopefully, this will help others fill in holes in their family research. If you notice any errors or would like to add any information to our Memorials, please let us know. We're not fussy. You can send an email or use the edit functions. If you have documentation for your edits, please include it. We want to be accurate and documentation saves us time in checking facts.

A special thank you to all the great Find A Grave members who have been so kind to share information with us and so willing to photograph grave stones to place on our Memorials. If you use any photographs from our Memorials on other web sites, please make sure you ask the owner of the photograph for permission to do so and please give him/her proper credit for the photo.

This is a great site with lots of angels and very few lemons. Let's all work to keep it that way.

Hello, I've tried once to find Mrs.Darvilles graveside. The area had recently flooded and the ground is still very wet in spots so I was unable to search the entire cemetery. Do you have information on where she may be located or other family she may be laid near? There are many unmarked sites and if I can't find her on my next search I will contact the church for burial information.

RE: Photo of Ruth Chapwell Peters Gravestone
hi Mary,
I'm sorry for the delay but I've been going through a nasty divorce after 23 years together and haven't had time to do any genealogy. As soon as I can I will take a look at my photos to see if I can help you transcribe the headstone or take a trip there to look at it again.

RE: James M Sherbert, Sr
just went back and took a look at his location(too quick to answer) I have been working on Tyler Memorial (along with Sharron Palmer) and have posted over 3000 since last June. She quit (said it was too hot) working each complete section at a time so I don't miss any one. This cemetery covers about 50 acres and don't know how many sections but just keep plugging along a little at a time.

RE: Zelma Fay Robinson Duppenthaler
I was happy to help you.
As you can see there was a problem with the last name for Zelma. Thankfully the office manager knew of this person and sent me directly to her site.

Yeah, it's copyrighted all right in my name, not theirs. To your other question, no, I do not wish to continue with my research project. Someone else has all the material, whatever they do with it is up to them, I've spent 17 years on it, that's enough for me. That's almost a quarter of my life I gave to others, it's time to rest and take it easy. Bob

RE: Vernalis Family
Yeah Mary, they have no documents what so ever from my family stating we gave it to them. That's the legal issue but we're to poor to afford a copyright lawyer, which is what we need for legal counsel to fight our case. As for the photo's, after making all the memorials that I did, I had no more use for them, besides I'm getting rid of that computer and moving away from this area for good. It just pains my heart that I couldn't include all those over 20,000 lost souls that will forever go nameless because of find a grave's decision. Bob

RE: Vernalis Family
First off Mary, I did not give them my database, they took it from me and refuse to give it back, so I have a legal issue with them. Secondly, I just removed the headstone photo from Dominick's memorial. Lastly, I no longer have any of my photographs, I deleted them all when I quit find a grave. If you contact the owner of the photo you talked about, you probably can get permission to copy and paste it to find a grave. Or you could simply copy and paste and give credit for the photo on find a grave, I don't think they would complain as long as you give them credit.

RE: Vernalis Family
Mary, it took me 12 years to read 104 years of local newspapers from 1860 to 1964. Then another 3 1/2 years non stop to post memorials before called it quits in April. There are still well over 20,000 undocumented people that find a grave would not allow me to post because of the lack of a burial place in their obituary. That's why I quit. Bob
