Ernest Claussen
I located an obituary for Ernest Claussen's father, Lester Claussen, at the Jackson County Historical Society. That is the source for my edit just sent to you. If you'd like to see the obit, please let me know and I'll be glad to send it to you via private email.

Alfred Kessel fag# 20048870
Please add the following biographical sketch " Mr Kessel was a staunch, solid citizen farmer of German descent. Although born in America, he was reared in a German-speaking house-hold and spoke English with a pronounced accent throughout his life. He married Nora Reiman and they reared three children: Ernest. Frank and Lillian (Saul). Ernest, died of pneumonia in service, shortly after joining the army during WWI. Nora, Frank, and Lillian survived Alfred by decades. Mr Kessel developed Alzheimer's disease relatively early in life. When I knew him best, he was a delightful pixie of a man, with the appearance and demeanor of a youthful Santa Claus. I was a preteen boy at the time and Mr. Kessel was the father-in-law of my brother, Kenneth so we often worked the fields, did chores and played together. Mr. Kessel was enjoying his "second childhood" and I, my first. We were pretty closely matched in attitude and abilities. We were buddies. I hope, and believe, that Mr. Kessel enjoyed our bond as much as I did ---Cecil Saul 2012"

I saw the picture you have of Glenn Cemetery. Can you tell me about what town it is close to? I do not know where Glenn or Jacob are. In the obit I have it said, at Glenn Cemetery in Jacob. Does not give a county.
