RE: Criswell/Creswell
I wish I could say that I have some answers for you. Records cab be tricky in SC because they weren't particularly meticulous with them. I've found the census records on ancestry.com to be fairly helpful, check with your local library to see if they have a free version you can use. Also check out a website called tribalpages.com; there you can search his name and maybe find him in a family tree and hopefully, find someone who can point you in the right direction.

Happy Hunting,
Renee

I did an "edit" linking her husband's memorial. I tried to also correct the birth date but Find A Grave would not allow 2 edits. Her birth date in the memorial is 1885 but the birth date on her burial marker is 1855 (probably a typo). Thanks.

No problem. If you happen to have any members of the Clayton line contact you, I would love to speak to them regarding family photos.

Thanks

Linda, what does the "ss/w Levi, J.W., A.M., and John" denote on Mary's Find a Grave link? I am attempting to find John's place in a Dozier family tree. Thank you.

Grave photo
Hi Linda,

Thank you for posting this photo of Sophia Dozier Tune's resting place at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=71692637

Would you mind very much if I kept a copy for my records citing you as the source?

Thanks again for your work at this website & Happy New Year!

Celia Ann Moody Meeks
Celia Ann was the daughter of Hickman Moody and Mary Louise Andrews. Hickman died and is buried at Fort Gibson (sometimes referred to as Fort Blunt) from smallpox 2 Oct 1863. They are all three listed on the 1860 federal census for Kaufman county. I hope the information helps. Anita
