In 1970 at age 16 I started a family tree for the Bates and Watson families. There was no internet of course. The Bates line came to a dead end due to a published mistake on the name of my 4th Great grandfather. When I retired in 2005 I had lots of time to spend on the internet. I discovered that my GGGG Grandfather was Johann Nikolaus Batz 1754-1811 not a ficticious Eliakim Bates. With the help of others,I was led me back to church records from 1640 to the marriage of my 7th Great Grandparents in Germany|

I have linked Robert Freeman Watson to Samuel Horton and Eliza Drady Watson.

Thanks for processing the updates. My grandfather was John Fisher Fleming, brother of Charles. Lyle is my cousin.
I claimed a photo request of yours. Could I ask how you got the plot location for him in Royal Oak Cemetery.

Hi Lee. I found on the death certificates that Edward James Bates' daughter Margaret and her husband James Kennedy are buried here. Do you have a picture?

Hi Lee, can you link Merle to her parents Morton and Ethel? 138020587 for Ethel and 137948795 for Morton.

You're welcome, Lee. Cambridge Cemetery is well-maintained, but the Drady gravestone was completely hidden by grass and weeds. No more!
