Hi Mary,
I just uploaded an annotated photograph of the young Nancy (made about 1892) with her parents and siblings. Likely location in Italy or Waxahachie in Ellis County. Hope all is well with you. Your friend, Bill Gorman (Plano, TX)

Yes, you have my permission to use the photo. I grew up next to the Hester Cemetery. Please send me an email as I probably have more info for you.

No problem. You do not even have to give me credit. I love finding these things for people in hopes that others will do it for me and my genealogy research.

RE: Earnest Harris at Cotton Gin
Ok, I finally got the 2 close-ups posted.
U mentioned him being 5 years old on the census, according to the tombstone he B/D the same year, 1885.
I chalked it to help bring out the inscription.
Never fear, I carry a jug of water so when I chalk one I can immediately rinse it off.
I used the word chalk for simplicity, actually my wife makes the markers out of starch.

He was hard to locate. I passed him up 2X before I located him, the third try was the charm. Although there is a plot listed for him, the rows intertwine so the only way to locate some people is to find others around them then move down the row.

Glad I could be of assistance, Later, James Coston

RE: Earnest Harris Cotton Gin Cemetery
Mary Ann,
Don't give up on me just yet.
I have a couple of close-ups so U can identify the marker, it's readable, problem is, I am on 14k dial-up and my connection is failing me. I have been trying for 1/2 hour and it keeps dropping me. It's very frustrating.
I will try again when there is less activity on the interned, the drawbacks of slow speed.
Yes, the marker at the tree is his, the over shot of the other markers are for reference in finding his marker "after" the tree is gone.
As to the others being Harris, the surname is "Wills", I used their locations to zero in on Earnest.
Later, James
