|John Harper||Mr Isaac V Dark|
I am looking in to the Dark name. Isaac is the 3x Grand Father of my wife. Sarah Jane (Dark) Matney is her 2x Grand Mother. Frank Lee Matney 1x Grand Father. Robert Matney Grand Father. Do you have any info about Isacc's head stone in Kendrick Cemetery sec.B?
You have posted scanned obits on Mable's memorial. Would you please delete the photo since they are not allowed to be posted? If you would like to write a bio based on the info, I will be glad to add it. Thank you!

|Charles E. Carroll||RE: J. F. Rogers|
Lesa, I have the photographs and location. Will post on the memorial this morning.
The historical story is this. The property once belonged to my uncle William Thomas Gilmore. Little Lewis Denson died and was buried there in 1903. J.F. Rogers made it known that if he died he wanted to be buried beside Lewis because he felt the boy was lonesome by his self.
The cyclone fence around J.F. Rogers was intact up until about five years ago. The present property owners took part of it down to use in their poultry pens. Pretty sad. J.F. Rogers wife or children paid good money to have that fence installed. The graves are actually 3/10 of a mile from the 2024 / 2022 intersection, south of Slocum, TX on the west side of the hwy. They can be seen from the hwy.

I found the grave and will try to get a photo as soon as the sun comes up.
