Bio and Links
Mainly located in Ulster and Columbia Counties in New York.

Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with stone and are not primary sourced will be placed in the bio section or declined.

For family links, please provide the correct memorial #'s for the link. Also, use the SAC feature.

Transfer requests must be submitted via a SAC and must provide the exact relationship and be within guidelines.
Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree outside guidelines is not grounds for a management transfer request. Transfer requests that do not include relationship to deceased or are out of guidelines are deleted.

Upon request, personal use of photos will be given with proper credit or a findagrave link.

Sorry, I had to remove my email as to many incomplete requests were being sent instead of using a SAC.

RE: Capt. John Kittle & John Kittle
Do you have access to the DAR or SAR's? I suspect that Ev.C got her or his information from one of the named above. The Squampamock, A Bicentennial History of Ghent, NY was also attached to his Find A Grave page. This is where the birth date probably came from as well as the SAR, it is where I found it too. Both death dates are the same & I do believe he was born in Columbia County, NY because his father was there at the time of his birth. He lived in that County until his death in 1805. I found a Christening record for this person too. Christening was in 1763, but I do not believe that was his birth year. Andries Kettel & Feytje Janse Borgat were his parents.

Is Ev. C. still active with Find A Grave? It would be nice to know more about her sources. Maggie O left a Rev. War Vet. flag...

Capt. John Kittle & John Kittle
Fred - I have been researching the Kittle line for my daughter & grand daughter. I think there is a duplicate in the Foland-Kittle Cemetery regarding Capt. John Kittle Find A Grave # 39384519 & John Kittle Find A Grave # 32798075. Capt. John does not have a birth year listed; however, it does say he died in his 46th year. That would make him born in 1759/60. There is a flag on his grave photo, which suggests he served in the American Revolution. On John Kittle page it mentions he served in the American Revolution, in my research, I have found that he entered as a Private (no entrance date found), but I did find that he enlisted in the 7th Regiment under Col. Abraham J Van Alstyne & by 1802 was promoted to Captain. I think these two graves are one & the same man. He, John Kittle, Find A Grave # 32798075 has a grave stone, John Kittle Find A Grave # 32798075 does not have one posted. Let me know what you come up with, the Kittle name has been confusing to say the least.

France-Carle Family
Thanks for doing all the recent updates for the family. I've visited the France Family Cemetery and know that old, neglected cemetery was not easy to do. I appreciate your work.

Ebeneezer McIntyre
Memorial# 20498431 Ebeneezer McIntyre
Hi Mr. Saar my name is Bonnie and Ebeneezer was my 5th Great Grandfather. It says on your Bio that its ok to use the Photo's but I wanted you to know before I do. And to tell you that I will give you credit for the Photo, Findagrave and the creator of the Memorial as well. I'm guessing this is not his headstone is that right? and can you tell me what is written on the other sides of the stones 3 other sides? If this is not his headstone where is it located. I see his wife is also listed with him but why are there no dates given on this stone. Sorry if I have a lot of questions. My niece and I have been doing the trees for a little while now and we kinda got stuck on McItires- the way my mom and her dad spelled it. Thanks So Much, and OH what a beautiful Photo with the flags in the background. Thank YOu. Bonnie :)

Birth Date for David Cook 0n stone
Hi Fred,

First I would like to thank you for all the volunteer hours you have put in on
Over 35,000 memorials and over 31,000 photos is more than amazing. I have added a just few myself and know how much work that has been.

In memorial #12408979 for David Cook. The stone indicates he is 94 years old and a death date of Dec. 15, 1814. This makes his birth date as 1720 rather than the listed 1729. David is my 5th great grandfather and if you agree with me I would appreciate the correction.

Thanks again for all the great work.
