Bio and Links
Bio Photo Native of Knox County, Illinois. Resident of Henry County, Illinois. Avid genealogist. I love visiting cemeteries and taking photographs when time allows. I try to keep my eye out for local photo requests. I try to focus on the local cemeteries in my area that have not yet been photographed and also visit random cemeteries when I travel.

Please note that in mid 2016 I had some memorials transferred to me that may contain links to online family trees. I am trying to remove the links as they are against FAG rules. If you happen to spot one please send a kind edit to bring it to my attention.
~~~~~~~~
Per Find A Grave's rules:
Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
BULK SURNAME REQUESTS SHOULD NOT BE MADE. Do not request a transfer based solely on a common surname.
Many people request well outside these guidelines. I do make exceptions in some cases. Examples would be your best friend, your brother in law, your sister in law, your parents siblings. But you do not need to request a transfer to add information, that can be done via the EDIT option.
There seems to be a growing trend of people who have joined FAG and are not contributing by making any additional memorials but only requesting transfers of any relatives memorials they find here.
I always respond to edit suggestions sent via the EDIT tab. I only refuse the suggestion if I am personally aware that incorrect info is being suggested. I will add pertinent condensed info from an obituary but please don't send me edit suggestions asking to include complete obituaries on recently deceased individuals.
The full FAG rules on transfers are found here~~~
RE: Tracy's in Mercer County, Illinois
Thanks for the transfers. I really appreciate it.
I agree that you don't have to manage a memorial to make corrections, and you probably respond promptly to requests, but I have requests that have lingered indefinitely, when I could have made the update and not thought about it any further.
I'm sure you know as you have worked on your family's genealogy that it can be fluid with new information coming in, and it's much easier to have the memorial to manage than take the extra step to ask for help in so doing.
I am definitely not one of those Find A Grave members who is trying to rack up numbers. I only wish to manage memorials for those to whom I am related, and it really doesn't matter to me if they are 2nd or 5th cousins. If a closer family person than me asks for a transfer I always oblige.
Thanks, also, for walking cemeteries and setting up these memorials. I have done a few small cemeteries in rural North Carolina, and I know how much work it is!
Logsdon's of Mt. Olivet
Hello Patti- Checking to see ifyou would be willing to transfer Cecelia Doughtery Logsdon and Charles Peter Logsdon to me. This is my Great Great Grandfather and Grandmother. I will attached the grave markers. Pretty much all of the St. Olivet's residents are direct to me. Thanks.
I transferred Jefferson Lawson to, I was glad to do it, I am not related, this is something I enjoy doing.
Rebecca Lawson
I appreciate your cautionary information about Rebecca Lawson. It is so easy to make the mistake of blindly following information shared by others. Thanks for your willingness to share research.
Susan Stamper Gilliam
Sorry, her husband is in Grayson with his second wife. Her father and mother-in laws are buried at this cemetery.
I think tht I solved the search. Going north on Rte 59 following the Kenniconick Creek, in te Emerson, KY area. Faliies start showing up: Fannin, Rose, Owens, Gilliam...
There is the Stamper Cemetery: Only 3 burials are listed Find A Grave and a number of burials not accounted for. Rte 59 north to 1662. Rte 1662 west to the junction of Stampers Cemetery Rd. and Owens Rd. It stands out clearly in Google Maps. This has to be her resting place. Keep me informed. Other family members may be there as well. I can't think of another location.
RE: Susan Stamper Gilliam
Emerson, KY is in unincorporated Lewis Co., KY. The only cemeteries in the area are the Kings Family, Emerson-Stratton, Kilgore, Hale, and Webb.
RE: Henderson Cemeteries in Carter CO. KY
I see now that Robert Jasper Henderson Sr. had a abnormal sized family for Carter Co., KY . They were all healthy and lived beyond birth, which was rare.
