I have been working on my family genealogy for over 20 years. I have a passion for history, genealogy, vintage photos, and old cemeteries.
I owe a debt of gratitude to many of my relatives who have helped me locate and photograph our ancestor's headstones. I have very special memories of visiting remote cemeteries with my parents, sisters, nieces, aunts, cousins, and grandmothers. In my childhood I can remember my father taking us camping, and always stopping at the local "Boot Hill," where we would walk through and read the epitaphs of the old timers.
Finding and documenting the final resting-place of our ancestors is a worthwhile pursuit. It helps us to understand, and preserve our family history, as well as pay our respects to those who have gone before us…those who played an important role in making us who we are today.
I enjoy sharing my research, and photo collections. Find-A-Grave is a wonderful place to do this. I have also posted my family tree at Rootsweb WorldConnect.

 | Henry Isham Thanks so very much for transferring Henry Isham to me, I really appreciate it! And it's really fun to find that you're a cousin, too!
Thanks again, Sandra | | | Megan
 | Josiah Whitcomb Melody,
I can't thank you enough for the quality photos you took of the gravestone of my 8th great grand uncle, Josiah Whitcomb. Being from the 1600's, these gravestones won't be around much longer and the work you've done will preserve them for a long time to come. Thank you!

 | RE: Transfer of Nahum Metcalf It is hard to imagine that you could still read the stones after all of these years. Too bad there is no grave of Sally my great grandmother who is probably buried near him. Bonnie | | | Samantha Cleveland
 | RE: Lakeview Cemetery Photos Melody...my pleasure, so glad you liked them...we don't get up to camp much, so I like to fulfill as many requests as I can. Samantha :) | | | J P Lane
 | Ash Swamp Cemetery Hello Melody,
I noted that you created a virtual cemetery for Ash Swamp Cemetery in Keene. I was wondering if you posted all the stones &/or names that are buried in that cemetery?
I was also wondering where this cemetery is located in Keene?
I have an ancestor who is supposed to be buried there. I found an application for the S.A.R that said Timothy Ellis was buried in Ash Swamp. Does that name ring a bell?
Thanks in advance,

 | West Cemetery Hi Melody - I want to thank you for documenting this cemetery. When we were in Keene back in 2009 this was the one cemetery we did not have time to look at. Just today your entries have helped me locate some of my husband's Halls & Clarks. Thank you so much, Diane | | | Clifford Laureno
