Uriah and Margaret Payne
I have Wm Uriah as son of Wm and Diana (Dicey) Wilson Payne and brother to brother to Wm Uhlan Payne. Both brothers served in 9th WV Inf along with my direct relative Reuben J. Higgins whose mother was Sarah Payne (Mrs. John A.) Higgins.

Pension records state that Uriah and Reuben were captured in battle that occurred in Gyuandotte and were sent to Libby Prison in Richmond VA and later to Salisbury Prison in NC.

I have Margaret as daughter of Cornelius & Elizabeth Lambert Clark, St

Hi Lisa,
We´ve had contact before and thanks for your help previously. Was wondering if it would be okay to use any of you pictures on my ancestry.com tree; especially the LawCo, Ohio, area. Just noticed a Barbara Ann Frampton !

RE: Request for Virginia Lewis Hereford Hereford
How very interesting. Is the house still standing? I will have to check out online that historical state park. My Robert Hereford son of Robert and Virginia headed west in 1849. So the history got lost along the way. When I started doing genealogy years ago dad said we were related to Geaoge Washington. I kind of laughed to myself. It took me two years to find it. So when I showed it to him he looked at me like I was goofy and said "I told you that." :-) I love this stuff!

RE: Request for Virginia Lewis Hereford Hereford
Hey Cousin!! You posted that Robert and Mary's headstones were moved for historical significance. Can you tell me what that is? Always thinking on preserving our history.....Virginia Lewis Hereford was George Washington's great niece. maybe the museum would be interested in that. Maybe help in your project of cleaning up the cemetery. Just a thought. Thank you for the pictures again I have been looking for them for a long time. Zay

RE: Request for Virginia Lewis Hereford Hereford
Hi Lisa, thank you so much for the pix of Robert and Mary Herefords headstone. I wish I could help you clean the cemetery. I love doing that. :-) I hope you will be able to find all of Virginia's headstone. Virginia Lewis Hereford is my 3rd great grandmother and Robert and Mary my 4th great grandparents. May I use your pictures of the headstones on my ancestry page? I will post with credit to you. Zay
