Each time I create a memorial I delight in thinking that it may someday provide comfort to a loved one or valuable information to a genealogist. |
Transfers - Please use the "Edit" tab on the memorial, send a "Suggest a Correction" including your "ID number". I'm more than happy to transfer memorials to their RELATIVES.
If FAMILY MEMBERS wish to have a memorial deleted I will do so, no questions asked.
Some dates/names on the headstones are hard to read. If you can help, please click the Edit tab at the top and send me a message. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in the completion of "Unknown" and incomplete memorials.
Thank you to everyone that made finding and documenting all the cemeteries in Forty Mile County possible. Thank you Kathie for making the many dusty gravel roads we travelled together so much fun!! Collaboration is wonderful and makes any project much more enjoyable.
The Alberta Genealogical Society - Lethbridge Branch gave me access to its Mountain View Cemetery records so unmarked graves and grave locations could be added to FindAGrave. AGS (Lethbridge) has a phenomenal amount of info on file including neatly catalogued obituaries - please support them, if possible. Thanks to all AGS members!!
I would like to thank the Vulcan & District Historical Society for giving me access to all of the Vulcan County Cemetery records and the amazing support of my main contact in that group. WOW!!!!
Volunteers spend countless hours photographing/ creating memorials and appreciate knowing their efforts are appreciated. I know I do.

|Martha Carlisle Mitchell||Burk family|
I just discovered that there is also a photo of James E. and Elizabeth E.'s grave marker. In my last message I asked to use the photo of Helen Burk's marker, I would also like to use the one of Jim and Nell's marker.

I am a Burk descendant. My grandmother was a Burk, her brother James Elisha Burk was Helen's father.
Would you allow me to use the photo of Helen Burk's grave marker on my family tree in Ancestry.com? I would mark it private because many people just take whatever they find.
If you would rather not allow me to use it for my tree I would like to keep it in my Pictures folder.

Thank you for the updates to their memorials.
|Tom Musgreave||Welsh Family Graves|
Thank-you so very much for the pictures of the Welsh Family grave markers. John (Jack) and Nellie plus Leonard Welsh. I was unsure whether my Aunt Nell would have a grave marker as she was Cremated. I really appreciate the photo's and would like to add them to their Ancestry File with your permission.
I have only just returned from vacation thus the delay. It was a great surprise to see the photo's. I was born in Pincher Creek and last returned in 1995 to attend a funeral.
Thank-you once again!
|Lisa Hughes||Thank you.|
Firstly I would like to say thank you for filling a huge hole in my heart. One day I decided to randomly Google my Grandfather. We never got to meet as he passed away just before I was born. I currently live in the south of England. A little town just a short distance from where Percy Charles Bradford lived with his son (my dad), daughter and first wife. As the story goes, one day he just decided to emigrate to Canada and came back every once in a while to visit everyone. His family never got to visit him in Canada and it fills me with great sadness that we can't just take a trip to the grave to mourn properly. I'm told he knew of my imminent arrival but sadly did not live to see it. Even just the one photo of his gravestone in the Mountain View Cemetery brings me great comfort. That even though we can't be there, someone has taken the time to appreciate and document his resting place.
Thank you so much! Bersha was my 3rd great-grandmother and had been a very busy lady, moving all over the place.
I live in Philadelphia, PA - when we went to Alberta to look for her, we were so excited to finally find her final resting place. We were only there for 2 day, but it was overcast and rainy both days. No matter what we did, (flash, no flash, different positions, reflecting with a mirror) we could never get a good picture of it. We went back both days.
So, your picture is greatly appreciated!
Thank you again!
Thanks for the Hovey family memorial transfers at Mountain View Cemetery.
Thank you so much for the Williams transfers. I appreciate all you have done to help me find my Tolley family in Canada.

THANK YOU for his headstone photo! It is beautiful! You and the photo are deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much for the transfer of Margaret and August Dumont, but most importantly for finding them, documenting and photographing! You are one of the people who makes this site so great!
