Each time I create a memorial I delight in thinking that it may someday provide comfort to a loved one or valuable information to a genealogist. |
Transfers - Please use the "Edit" tab on the memorial, send a "Suggest a Correction" including your "ID number", I'm more than happy to transfer memorials to their RELATIVES.
If FAMILY MEMBERS wish to have a memorial deleted I will do so, no questions asked.
Volunteer contributors spend countless hours visiting cemeteries, photographing headstones, obtaining burial information and creating memorials. I am sure everyone would like to know their efforts are appreciated. I know I do.
Some dates/names on the headstones are hard to read. If you can help, please click the Edit tab at the top and input the changes. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in the completion of "Unknown" and incomplete memorials.
Thank you to everyone that made finding and documenting all the cemeteries in Forty Mile County possible. Thank you Kathie for making the many dusty gravel roads we travelled together so much fun!! Collaboration is wonderful and makes any project much more enjoyable.
The Alberta Genealogical Society - Lethbridge Branch gave me access to its Mountain View Cemetery records so unmarked graves and grave locations could be added to FindAGrave. AGS (Lethbridge) has a phenomenal amount of info on file including neatly catalogued obituaries - please support them, if possible. Thanks to all AGS members!!
I would like to thank the Vulcan & District Historical Society for giving me access to all of the Vulcan County Cemetery records and the amazing support of my main contact in that group. WOW!!!!
Thank you as well to everyone that made it possible for me to create memorials for burials at Mountain View and Garden View Cemeteries in Calgary.

Thank you so much for your concern about me following the Findagrave rules. As you might be aware the FAQ of the site are a constantly changing and evolving item. What was allowed and encouraged one day becomes against the rules the next day. I am aware of the change to the rules about adding scans of obituaries. At one time anything that was printed before 1922 was allowed and even encouraged and the distinction between a photo of the obituary and a copy in the bio was not made. Since I have become aware of the change I am working on getting these transcribed into the bio areas. This is not going to happen overnight and is a work in progress. You did happen to stumble on one that I did transcribe but have missed removing the photo. Please be patient as I work on these as many of these scans are the only proof of burial in the cemetery. These people do not appear on any cemetery records and don't have any headstones. Some of these might actually be grandfathered in if they were posted before the date of the change but I don't know the exact date of when the change to the FAQ occurred so am in the process of making change to comply with the change. Since I work 10 hour days it will take me a little while to get to them all. Thank you for your patience.
Thanks for the transfers....Joe

Found out that in fact they are spouses, I've sent edits for both their parents but due to a site but I can't link them together while their parents are pending if you could link them up for me please
|Sherry Scolari||Eletha Peters|
I tried to add my aunt's parent's names, but it said it was not new information. The problem is there isn't any information on her except her last married name. Her maiden name was Eletha Lydia Hopkins. Her father was John William Brinker Hopkins and Dorothea Ellen Erwin. Her parents were born in Montana. Eletha was a kind, caring woman who deserves to have her birthdate and name included.
Her father is buried at the Westlawn Cemetery and is found in the Canada Find a Grave under John Brinker Hopkins. Thank you for your time and patience. Warmly, Sherry

Anything I can do to improve the treasure that is Find-a-Grave, I'll do. And we don't need duplicate memorials to confuse the issue! Thank you for catching it.

Thank you for noting that my memorial for this woman has her surname misspelled and is therefore a duplicate. I'll take mine down and notify the manager of the correct one of the links it needs

I deleted my photos from Tulleners site. Let me know if it's incorrect.
|Don Keith||RE: Pearl E Bland|
Thank you so much for the great work you have done and are doing on FindAGrave. You created an initial skeleton entry for my grandmother - Pearl Bland # 135708431.
I have updated that site somewhat but it is a duplicate of one I entered after your original one (which had some incorrect info in it - therefore I didn't find it with my original search).
My entry for her is 142951550 . Please either assign ownership or your original (135708431) to me and I can then delete mine and update the original (preferred choice) or you can just delete 135708431 and I'll continue to manage and update 142951550.
Either way, I can manage the site and update it with a bio and additional info.
Thank You ... Don Keith
