I have been researching genealogy since August, 1989. I have traced some of my family back to England and France/Germany. My husband's family back to the East Coast, but not sure where they came from..|
I have 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 gr-grandchildren.
I volunteer at the local genealogy library on Monday afternoons.
I very much love putting up Memorials for loved ones. I also add others when I find an obit I can use for the dates. This is such a great site and I meet so many nice people.
A LOVE POEM
I thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
Now all I have are memories
And your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake
With which Iíll never part
While God has you in His keeping
I have you in my heart
Your tombstone stands among the rest neglected and alone. The name and date are chiselled out on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care; It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist; you died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse; entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew that someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you. )

Thank you for your article on my father, Wayne Howard. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=88776152&ref=acom
Quick question, I'm trying to construct my family tree. My father's side is really unknown as we don't know his father, or much of his mother. I found his birth record, but you had a different name for his mother than what was on that record. Can I ask you where you found or who gave you his mother's name?
|Christopher Mears||Rev. John Mitchell 1763-1840|
I am a descendant of John Mitchell. I came across your entry on him on this site, and I was wondering if you had any source information about his coming to America. My dad told me the story, but he does not remember where he heard it. Any help would be appreciated,

|Anonymous||Transfer of Mrs. Cortes|
I want to thank you for transferring the Memorial page of Mrs. Herminia Avila Cortes into my care, the children are working on getting the information on those buried in Mexico so that I can link the family, I appreciate all that you have done, all that you continue to do, on Find A Grave, keep up the good work.
|Blake McCauley||Billy Joe Woods (#124454122)|
I believe that this Find A Grave memorial is tied to the incorrect parents.
The obituary says the parents were Jesse and Florence...but this Find A Grave memorial is tied to James A. Woods and Tennie Hudson Woods.
I believe the parents of this Find A Grave memorial should be removed. The other memorial tied to James A. Woods and Tennie Hudson Woods...#126419809 (Billy Joe Woods) is the correct one.
