You have his birth year as 1855 and I have it as 1885. Is it a typo? Or do I have it wrong?

Please remove the ancestor chart that you posted as a photo to the memorial page of James Wilmot. "Photos" like that are not allowed according to Find A Grave rules.

Thank you,

RE: Benjamin A. Bennett
Thx so much!! This is great. Every little bit helps me get closer to
proving that Benjamin is my 2nd great-grandmother's brother.

I'm going to have to practice my researching skills!

Benjamin A. Bennett
John, I am a 3 rd great niece of Benjamin A. Bennett who is buried in Nueces County and info for him is shown on your Find A Grave site.
His sister Caroline C. Bennett Ray is my 2nd great-grandmother

I am interested in an obit I read online several months ago, did not copy, and now cannot find.

It told about Benjamin's life in Nueces County; about his birth to Benjamin (nmn found on any documents) and Susanna Watters Bennett in Perry County, AL.

Both his grandfathers were American Revolutionary War soldiers - Michael Bennett, NJ and Joseph Waters, NJ. So we speculate that the families knew each other in NJ for both men lived in Culpeper County, VA for at least couple of years and then moved on to Oglethorpe County, GA.

Would be so grateful if you or someone in the area of Matagorda could find at the local library this obit on Benjamin A. Bennett.
I am willing to pay for time spent on looking up obit and also for copying original article so it can be emailed to me.
Thank you so much for info you put on Find A Grave for Benjamin.
I would send my Texas cousins down your way but they probably wouldn't even know what to do.

Hello John!
You posted a newspaper obituary of my great great grandfather Dave Robinson(1866-1937 Corpus Christi, texas) and I was so happy to be able to add more info about him to my family tree! I wanted to know if there was a grave for his wife Phenie (phenia not really duress of the spelling) Robinson in that cemetery as well because I haven't been able to find an information on her. If you know anything extra it would be deeply appreciated!

Mary Allen
I have looked and looked and I can't find any record that a Mary Allen was married to Thomas. I did find a Millicent Allen who lived with Thomas in Corpus Christy on the 1870 census. I don't use family trees as proof as I find they are most often wrong. Do you have anything that links Edward to Mary?

Seaton Citation
Thanks for that, John. I thought it would be in that newspaper, but I didn't find it. I'll now use the link you sent.
