Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family research since the late 1970's. I have been associated with the Jefferson County (KS) Genealogical Society, being the organizing President and since served in that capacity two more times. I live in Winchester, Kansas. My wife, Marie and I have been married 63 years. We have four living children, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. My family research interests are many, but especially Riley, Nettleton, Curry and Fulton. We have many ancestors buried in Atchison and Jefferson Counties, Kansas. In addition, I have served the United Methodist Church as organist for the past 50 years and have served the Winchester and Jefferson County North Schools as statistician for over 60 years. I was the Director of the Winchester Public Library at the time the present building was constructed.

Please contact me if you find a direct relative's memorial I manage, and would like to have the memorial transferred. Please include your Find a Grave ID # with any requests. If you find any errors or wish to have me add additional information to a memorial, please let me know.

Thank you for Andrew's memorial. He's been a hard guy to find. I've looked long and hard for every bit of information I have on him.

This really helps.

Thank you for posting many photos of my family member's graves on their memorials. I'm not really sure when you did this, please forgive me for not noticing sooner. Many of the graves are in Brown County, KS in Hiawatha of the Plamann family. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated. Dee Harvey

When a person dies, I check to see if they have been posted, (not months & years while they are still living.)if NOT I post them. Posting while they are STILL LIVING is WRONG!!! - -DON'T ASK me to DELETE MINE if the DUPLICATE was posted while they were STILL LIVING.

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your grave marker and/or cemetery photos on my family website. Check it out at This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Thank you.

Thank you for finding the grave for my great grandfather. What I was wondering on the info of the memorial you said there was a long obituary -Northville News 7-24-1942.Would you be able to tell me how I could get that obit. It would be so great to add to my family history. Thanks again for the memorial. Nancy B.

Suzi Stukes
fathers name
I am the great granddaughter of John H Weatherford, grand daughter of John Homer Weatherford, daughter of Barbara Harriet Weatherford Burt. I am in search of the father and mother's names of John H Weatherford, name of fathers father, etc.
Also, whether you know if this Weatherford line is related to William (Red Eagle) Weatherford. The only info I have is that John H Weatherford was born in Kentucky.
My name is Carole Sue Burt
Also, are you related to the Weatherford's?

I thank you in advance for any info you have.
