Here are some of the surnames I am currently researching: Smith, Becker, Roberts, Bradley, Baldwin, Strait, Allen, Moore, Hickman, Cook, Martini, King, White, Shumaker, Miller, Stull, Dawson, Anton, Thinnes/Tinnes, Jennings, Lemmon(s), Conkright, Fry, Wilson, Cabiness, Waggoner, and Barry just to name a few.|
I'd be happy to transfer memorials as long as the individual is not related to me or my husband.
PLEASE USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION for both update requests and transfer requests or general inquiries about a particular memorial. We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. It makes my day to have someone find one of my memorials and I can transfer them to family.

OK; I guess I figured that whoever was managing it could edit it -- wrong again, hmmm? ;)

|csinghal||Find A Grave Memorial# 46106564|
This is a collateral family for me, for which I followed bread-crumbs for a cousin.
As I was entering data from Find-a-Grave today, I noticed this:
Jacob H. Hess (1862 - 1923)*
Sarah Ellen Hess Pittman (1868 - 1931)
Samuel A. Hess (1870 - 1924)*
John F. Hess (1875 - 1951)*
Mary Elizabeth Hess Pittman (1920 - 2002)*
I would have preferred a private comm on this, but since it's important, I'll settle for public:
Mary Elizabeth cannot physically be a sibling of Sarah Ellen. -- Sarah Ellen's parents died in 1901 and 1913, so the mother had been dead 7 years by the time Mary E. was born.
I'm not "up" on the family, so I don't know where the problem lies, but figured I should mention it as a problem and potentially misleading to a researcher with more at stake than I have.

|LAK||Ermine Estes Cabell|
Ermine and James Allen Cabell are my wife's great grandparents. Can you tell us where the Cabell Cemetery is located in Barren County? Juanita has always wanted to visit Ermine's grave since she was given Ermine's bracelet and photo as a young child. Ermine and James' son George Samuel was her grandfather.

Thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.
I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th. Actually, thanks to you and other findagravers, so far today Traci has received 6,026 flowers/tokens. That makes my family and I extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.
I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!
This is something I wrote for Traci:
It was a cold, quiet night at the cemetery. The snow was falling gently to the ground. The only sound that could be heard was the whistling of the wind. Off in the distance I suddenly heard the tiny sound of jingling bells. I looked around and wondered where the life was in the stillness of this cemetery.
As I gazed around, I saw a ray of moonbeam shining down on a small Christmas tree.
I thought to myself, "This is where the life is in the cemetery!"
Ring the bells this holiday season in memory of those you love.
Sharon (Traci's mom)

Do you have the book About Benjamin Berry of Oppenheimer and Yates and his descendants? If not, I do. I'll look and see if I can find a connection.

I'll have to pull mine and see where it's from but I only remember one. Does your connection come in any way down from Archibald?

You posted a comment that you have an obituary. Do you know the source? I've got one as well, just wondering if it is the same. You mention you are researching the Barry family. I do not remember if I have had contact with you before right off. I descend from James. How about you?
