I have been working on my own family tree since about the Fall of 1999. I started this project by doing transcripts of my own family's cemeteries and taking photos of the stones. I am sure this is how most folks get started doing this kind of thing.|
On my father's side, I am researching these names; Campbell, Clouse, Donalson, Edwards, Elam, Engle, Faris/Farris, Gillum/Gilliam, Harris, Hodge/Hodges, Hutton, Keck, Owsley and Riddle at this time. These surnames are from Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas, with ties to England, Germany and Scotland.
On my mother's side, I am researching these names; Cantley, Clay, Gibbs, Rorrer/Rohrer and Turner at this time. These surnames are from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, with ties to Switzerland, Germany and England.
You have my permission to use any photos posted here as long as it used for research and not for profit.

|P Renee T||RE: Stansberry Cemetery|
There are two cemeteries with just about the same spelling of the name.
Stansbury 135 people in this one
This Main big one is on American Greeting Road. If you come from Corbin it is on your Right hand side and if you are going fast you will miss it.
It is not far past Corbin Manner apts. This Cemetery has cameras and a man across the road most of the time will come great you if you are there two long. This Cemetery has graves in the woods that need to be cleaned to be found..
Is on out the road and is up in the woods and there are not many people that know it is there.
There are just rocks for stones and trees have taken it over so it will be lost in a few years.
My brother N Law can give better details on this one.
So when you get ready to visit let us know and we will get better directions for you.
Stansberry Cemetery North Corbin, Laurel County, Kentucky, USA

You have a photo of my GGGrandmothers gravestone at Reilly Springs Cemetery in Hopkins Co. Texas- Would you mind if I use the photo on my memorial.
There may be a 1880 Census listing for Samuel and Ellen at URL:
Unfortunately, the listing is for S.L. Jarvis and an you must scroll down 18 screens to find it.

Thank you for catching the duplicate record for Peggy. I have deleted it. I am checking the Mesquite Cemetery records against Find A Grave and adding the ones I don't find. I gave you the plot location as a suggestion to add to your record for her. Again, thank you!

|Lindy Funkhouser||RE: Mary Green|
You're welcome for the photos of Mary Keck Green's memorial. As I recall, I had to remove lichen from the stone to get a good picture. It should be good for another 10 years, now. I might be related to your mother's side of the family, particularly the Turner/Rohrer (Royer?) branches.
|Sarah Garton||Cox Cemetery|
Thank you for beautiful pictures on Find A Grave of Cox Cemetery headstones for Amon McCommas Family, ggg-grandfaher and John Daniel Family gg-grandfather of my husband MGarton. We enjoyed our visit to this cemetery.
|Terry||RE: McClellan Cemetery|
I will keep trying to find the photos from there and tell you who is there. Who are you looking for?
