I was born in Memphis, TN, raised in Jackson, MS, and moved to Dallas in 1967.|
My father was Jesse Thomas White.
My mother was Clara Vanderberg White .
You are invited to visit their memorials to see their ancestors.
I am addicted to FindaGrave and genealogy research in general. I have had the good fortune to connect with a number of cousins through this website.
Most of my research is tracing family members in Mississippi.... Panola, Quitman, Calhoun, Yalobusha and Hinds Counties.
My Family Names: White, Vanderberg, Vanderburg, Potts, Jenkins and Hupperich.
My wife's family: Pitt, Sapp, and Newcomer's, mostly from Oklahoma, and Baldridge from Tennessee.
"I have never met a cemetery I did not like", and
"I can not go to a cemetery and take just one picture".
I am also a volunteer photo taker at Grove Hill and Oakland Cemeteries in Dallas.
If I have added one of your family members or family friends, let me know and I will transfer them to you.
A number of the pictures added and memorials created in the Memphis and North Mississippi area have been contributed by my cousin, Becky Vanderburg Abbott.
Any photograph I have added to any memorial may be used by the general public, without credit to me.

Thanks for the note Tom. I've made a note in the bio about the full name listed on the death certificate, however I also noted a news article about her murder found in another memorial that refers to her by her maiden name, the same as what's shown on the gravestone. The death certificate states she was divorced at the time of her death. I'm assuming the family apparently must have decided to have the marker made with that name, so, I decided to keep the name as it is on the marker for this memorial.
Thanks again for your help and pointing that out!

Tom, Thought you would like to know your memorials are duplicates. There was memorials created for the two Ferguson girls in 2007. You might want to delete your memorials and add to the ones already created. Thanks for your time, Connie

Tom, thank you for the obituary. I added it to the memorial.

Dear Mr White, I notice on your transcription that the death of Edna Williams is given as May 8, 1971, burial at Longtown Cemetery, Longtown, Panola County, Mississippi, USA, Plot Lot 33-T, but that her headstone states death as Nov 24, 1993. Is this a mistake?

Tom, thank you for the transfer. It was unexpected, but very much appreciated.
|Linda||Nellie M. Doyle Photo request|
I got an email from findagrave that you could not fulfill my photo request for this lady. That was an error on my part - I was multitasking and had many tabs open and accidently sent a photo request for her memorial - rather than for someone else's. (She already has a photo of her gravemarker). I realized my mistake immediately but couldn't figure out a way to cancel the request, so, I sent a message to the contributor who set up her page that it was an error. But I guess you and the contributor are not one in the same so you did not get the message. Not sure how to get rid of the photo request. Sorry for the bother!
