Moore family genealogy
Thank you for your response. My great-grandmother's sister was married to the son of Wm and Sarah, Wm. Richard Moore. She died young, leaving an infant. I believe that the niece that James Russell Moore adopted was this child. WendyT

RE: Belle's Marriage
Wilson McDowell was a partner in various businesses with his Brother John but did a lot of traveling as well.. Matthew McDowell seems to of followed in his Father's foot steps in what ever he was doing.. As he bounced between AZ and LA. where his wife was from...The marriage announcement was rather interesting as both Belle and Henry would of been in their 30s so not so young for those times...The family may have it mixed up and it was Belle who had TB but I am not so sure...Its not clear who the property in Pinal County belonged to either Wilson or Matthew, maybe both...Matthew and his family ended up in L.A. where he died in 1957 and she lived until 1995 or so.. They had 3 children in all and the boy and girl not buried with their parents may be living yet..

RE: Joyce E. Holly Dunshine
The Uncle(Matthew McDowell) had a house in Pinal County that was kept as a summer home for the family... Carrie was back here living with Belle and Henry when her Mother died...At one time Henry was diagnosed with TB and he and Belle lived a couple of years in AZ but didn't like it... May haps Carrie went back out to live herself.. I don't know as its not known or mentioned in the family(McDowell's or Hollys).. Either Joyce or Gerald also had health issues and they went down to AZ... Their oldest(?) Granddaughter ended up living with them and caring for them until their deaths... Gerald was fairly happy down there, Joyce liked it better here.. Its a very passed story Carrie came to visit family and friends here in 1924 or 1925 and never went home even for Wilson's funeral(seems a little odd to me) she was still here in 1927 when her Mother died... Wilson died at his sons and was probably buried in AZ.

RE: Angeline's Burial
She died at her daughter's Belle McDowell Holly.. The farm is still in existence but changed hands 20 years ago after a bad fire....Myrtle is in Ceres Township but is not in Ceres itself...The one granddaughter of Belle and Henry's lives next to the farm so some land and property was kept by the family... If you don't know the area here it can be a bit confusing..

RE: Angeline's Burial
I knew per family info she was there but a book was written many years ago on the Yentzer family and it has Angeline's burial in Sartwell Creek and the author wouldn't change it and the info was picked up by a local historian and carried forward.. The marriage didn't last even two years and she was then living with her daughters...He was too wrapped in grief for his first wife to even function so I am not sure why he married or the story behind that...I am checking info on Carrie Peckham and her family.. Her husband died in AZ and is probably buried there. I can find a thing on him but his dates but I have his parents and such so I will just put a flat memorial and hope for better info later on.. He is not buried Annin Creek or Sartwell Creek.. It seems late in life Carrie came to visit family and friends in the Myrtle area and never went home(about 1924 or 1925)...I need to figure that out .He died at his son, Matthew's Feb. 15 1926..The son died in CA. but no burial or family info exist beyond his wife's and children's names.. Checking that, I apparently missed a few things when I was doing Sartwell Creek but I am working on that now...

RE: Nellie's Parents
This will help my records.. Its been long thought Angeline was buried with her second husband but that marriage was brief and very unhappy.. We knew about when she died per my Grandfather's memories and that she more than likely was buried Annin Creek... The Smith lot is rather full and is near the fence line so it would not surprise me if he actually ended up being buried over on the Peckham lot .... Luther and Caroline Holcomb Kinney were cousins.. His Mother was a Holcomb and Caroline was a Sister to my direct line John Hornsby Holcomb and because of where the families lived or such the families were rather close even down to my Grandfathers time..

RE: John A. Smith (1860-1909)
I am working on John Greer's Parents and Nellie's as well who's Mother it turns out is a distant cousin...John Greer's Brother married a Great-Great Aunt but I can't find him or either of his later wives...I would have to check the lots but John may be buried with her parents and Sister Carrie(Father is marked which I am checking) Mother is not...Peckhams are also buried Annin Creek
