Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in the Richmond, Virginia area and have been taking gravestone photos for over 3 years after I discovered what a great tool a digital camera is for that kind of work. I am trying to photograph as many of the cemetries as I can in the area. I also take my camera whenever I travel and and usually end up with photos from some distant cemeteries.

I am the volunteer coordinator for the clean up of East End Cemetery in Richmond. Please contact me if you are interested in helping with the clean up effort.

The vast majority of the gravestone pictures that I've entered are of people I don't know. I've entered them to help others. If you'd like me to fix, add to, and/or delete any of your family members please email me and I'll make the change as quickly as possible. If you would like a copy of the original picture, let me know and I will be glad to email it to you.

If you would like me to transfer an entry to you, please let me know. I will be glad to do that.

Please request transfers and updates/corrections through the Suggest a Correction function so that I make sure I update the correct entry.

Note that much of the CSA related info for burials at Hollywood Cemetery was provided by Scott Hutchinson.

John

James Logan
Hi John,
You just posted on 7/4/2014 a photo for James Logan buried in Saint Andrews Graveyard in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. I was wondering if you can remember where that stone is located by chance? I know this is a long shot. I wanted to go do a rubbing of the stone to verify dates. I have a James Logan in my family tree who died 1/14/1803 you have the other james as 1/1/1807. I'm hoping it is the same ancestor. This James was a Revolutionary soldier he is also listed in the Sons of the American Revolution. Would like to try and have his grave marked before it is lost to time.
Thanks, John L. Nelson

RE: System glitch
Thank you for responding. There are several messages regarding the glitch in the Discussion Forums. According to admin, it has self corrected. I would not have caught it had I not revisited the page. Not sure how many this happened to, but it appears it was only for a short period of time. Red

There seems to be a glitch when adding a photo. The photo for Ada Lippincott was added to Edward's page. Could you please remove the photo? Thank you, Red

Regarding William Bishop #31231651
William M. Bishop's memorial has his parents listed as William Fleming and Elizabeth Price Bishop. How were those people determined to be his parents? William Fleming and Elizabeth Price were my 3rd great grandparents. According to our written family records, they had a son named William Moss Bishop who was born on October 31, 1837 and died December 29, 1920. According to our family records, he and his wife, Jane Lower Bishop had no children. With the date of death and the children's graves, I am wondering if William M. Bishop #31231651 really is the son of William Fleming and Jane Price Bishop?
Any additional information you have on this relationship would be appreciated. Thank you.
