I have been researching my family ancestry for over ten years now. Using Find A Grave I am hoping to preserve the memory of my ancestors lives and share my findings with both close and distant relatives and family friends. Every interment I have added is a relative of my wife or me. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions, especially if corrections need to be made.

TEC 5 Dallas Harold Factor
Dear Lee,

I am a Find-A-Grave contributor and the historian for the Vietnam Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Veterans Chapter of the National EOD Assocation (NATEODA). I am also researching our Army Bomb Disposal deaths for the period of WWII and the Korean War. We have an EOD Memorial located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida for all the four services. Click on crest to see the names. TEC 5 Dallas Harold Factor's name is not listed on the memorial yet.

SGM James "Jim" Ferris, USA (Retired) found the grave site of TEC 5 Dallas Harold Factor who was assigned to the 26th Ordnance Bomb Disposal Squad during WWII.
His Find-A-Grave profile (Set up by you):

Jim and I have left comments.

According to the text he was killed on 14 March 1945, but according to the headstone's inscription he died on 14 November 1945. I have seen errors on headstones before. He might have been mortally wounded on 14 March and died on 14 November.

According to LTC Robert "Bob" Leiendecker, USA (Retire) a report from the 26th Ordnance Bomb Disposal Squad states that on 14 March 1945 two members (no names mentioned) of the squad were killed in action by mines while working in the Ardennes (Belgium and Luxembourg region). I believe that Factor was one of the two men. Still need to sort this out and find the second individual.

I have added updated my list of Army Bomb Disposal/EOD names that are not on the EOD Memorial to 40, see attachment. Factor is listed as #15 on my sheet.

Is Factor a family member to you? Do you have anymore information on his death?
