When I started researching my family history in 2009, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I have found that this is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding activities. I love that "AH-HA!!!" moment when you stumble across a headstone that you were looking for but didn't know exactly where it was, the death certificate that you accidentally find, and gettinng to know who you are by learning where you came from.
Family names that I am currently researching: Jackson (obviously), Lemons, Moore, Yount, Gilliland, Talley, Long, Killian, Abernathy, Fulbright, Mayfield, Rhodes, Williams, Sitze & Watson. If any of these cross your own genealogical path....let me know, maybe we can help each other out.
I don't mind transferring memorials as long as they are of closer kin to you than they are to me. I also don't really care how you request the transfer...whatever is easiest for you, just don't forget the name of the person(s), their memorial number(s) and your own contributor ID.

Hi, Erin. I noticed there are 2 Find A Grave memorials for her--yours and # 97100869, created later. Yours says she's at Memorial Park Cemetery; the other one says she's at Dogwood. Which is correct? Looks good and thanks for the additional links to family members. The headstone of his wife was apparently added much later than at the time of her death. I knew a couple of descendants of Joseph Looney and they looked long and hard trying to figure out his ties to the extensive Robert and Elizabeth Looney family of 1742 Botetourt Co, Virginia. I just visited Hall Church cemetery. It is much more overgrown than the picture on the website.
I was able to get the birth and death dates off of Pleze's stone.
