|Anonymous||Geoffery Smith Garstin|
Thank you for the volunteer work you do for us. There are so many of us who can't go where you have found families.
Geoffrey Smith Garstin was the son of Reginald Howard Garstin smith and Johanna Pfeiffer. Johanna took Geoffery to New York for his university studies. The name GARSTIN was a name worthy of consideration in India. Reginald's grandfather was an engineer and General Edward Garstin . Before General Garstin married he had a dalliance with a " local woman. The birth and baptizment show no mother, only the General, and the infant's name, Charles Garstin Smith. When the General married he and his wife took their DAUGHTER to England but, not Charles. We believe Charles was raised by a Smith family, otherwise, we have no explanation for his surname SMITH. After the family of Charles and Mathilde Smith emigrated to America, Reginald Howard Garstin Smith Married #1 Johanna Pfeiffer/Pferffer; the couple had 2 children, Charles Garstin Smith and Howard Pfeiffer/Pferffer who died before his maturity. Reginald married #2 Grace Jane Brantingham. It is our collective opinion that Johanna told GEOFFREY to switch his given name because it sounded more established than SMITH! I wonder if Johanna knew this back story to the name Garstin?!?! Geoffrey left several millions of dollars to the University of Delaware; his wife was Ann Nields.
Thank you again,

I see you have a bio note that Everett was the son of Col. James L. Anderson. I descend from James's brother Robert. Do you descend from James or one of his siblings?

Hi Penny, I checked the 1900 Census before making the connection between Anna W., Samuel & Ella W. Bane. Her birth year matches the marker and are together in a row. I checked for the memorials for the Way Family and did not see Pennock and Emmaline listed. There is however an Ella C. Way Waite, although the names on the marker are not a match to Pennock & Emmaline. If you have documentation showing the connection I would be glad to make the change.

I see that you've taken photos in Delaware County. If you still live in the area, perhaps you'll join me for the ancestry/findagrave community day at Fernwood Cemetery:

John and Elizabeth R. Sellars are my 4th great grandparents. This monument is so beautiful. I've never seen it before. Thank you so much for taking such a wonderful picture. They are buried in Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery, Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware. I am so excited about seeing this today.
My best to you,

Are you related to Oscar Jerome Reichard or his wife Anna Cloward? Found them on here. Oscar was my grand uncle. I have a picture of him and three others, two are ladies. Don't know who the other folks are and was hoping maybe you could identify them if I sent it to you.

My info has always said that they were buried in First Pres. Church Cemetery in Wilmington. But your picture confirms they are not! Thank you! The death dates match the dates I have. Do you know anything about all of the other names on their stone and who they were? Did you perhaps decipher that writing on the stone? I can't read it from the picture.
