Bio and Links
Bio Photo Simply enjoy genealogy and preserving history.

I make mistakes if you tell me, I will fix them.

If they are family, I will gladly transfer.

My aim is to honor the past. Items added to biographies are typically information I receive via email from unknown contributors and post to memorial. I do NOT fact check so take it for what it's worth...further research.

THE STORY TELLERS by unknown
We are the chosen. My feelings are, in each family, there is one who seems
called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live
again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and
approve. To me, doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but,
instead, breathing life into all those who have gone before. We are the
storytellers of the tribe. All tribes have one.
We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before
cry out to us: Tell our story.

Awtry, Awtrey, Autrey, Autry
Mem# 68661131 in Greenwood Cemetery (Tuscaloosa, AL)
They are all the same people. the pics are under awtrey AND Autrey one being a family marker and the other a Vet. marker.

I spent an hour in the cemetery today (Pic Requests), and had to research a little more to notice the connection.

If you noticed this, ok.
If you hadn't, you may consider deleting.
Just an FYI.

Find A Grave Memorial# 30553654
Hi Carol,

Mary Ann Persinger is my Grandpa's older sister. I would like to request a link and an update.

She was born in Lewisburg, Greenbrier Co., WV to George Andrew Persinger and Georgia Ann (Smith) Persinger. Her brother, my grandpa was Walter Smith Persinger. All are buried in the Dripping springs Cemetery, Van Buren, Crawford Co., AR.

Thank you

Hi Carol,
Thank you for the transfer. Hopefully I will be able to pass the Memorial to a more immediate family member.

Dear Carol,

I noticed that you manage the memorial for M. H. Shepherd Jr. (Memorial no. 30529593) who is buried in Gatesville City Cemetery, Gatesville, TX. I am trying to locate the grave of his father Martin Huddleston Shepherd Sr. (Aka Doc). He is my husband's great uncle. Is there a possibility that he is also in the Gatesville City Cemetery? Has it been completely recorded? Any help on this that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Mary Ann

RE: I am losing my mind
Hi Carol,

I know how you feel about these computers. Some younger person told me there was no excuse for me not having hyperlinks on my memorials. I don't know how to do it and don't intend to learn. Besides, now Find A Grave has links to the siblings too.

Send an email to cemetery@findagrave.com and list all the cemeteries to be merged, add a link to each cemetery. Then ask that they merge all into one as Flipper Cemetery aka Old Magnolia Cemetery. If not done with in 30 days, send a copy of the original email to support@Findagrave.com

After it is done, then we need to merge all of the memorials into one. Lots of trouble, but, well worth it, never to have the problem again.

Thank you

Winnette

I am losing my mind
I just ran a search for Flipper and trust me when I say, now there are three cemeteries. I made an error when I said Flipper Cemetery should be an aka for the Old City Cemetery, It is the Old Mangolia Cemetery. The current Magnolia cemetery is on the corner of Vine St & the Cassidy Rd.

It is absolutely time for me to leave FB until tomorrow. I have been doing this all day long.

Thank you Carol,

Winnette

P.S. Flipper Cemetery aka Old Magnolia Cemetery is the correct way to go.
