|I am retired and live in central Texas. As most of us have, I found FindaGrave while doing research on my family tree, and now find I prefer gathering information in a cemetery to sitting at my computer. My husband, T.C., and I have recorded information from 20 of the cemeteries in our immediate region and now our goal is to go back and take photos of all|
the memorials we have entered.
I add all information with great respect, so if you find I am in error in any way please let me know and it will be corrected.
Thanks for all the nice e-mails we've gotten.
PLEASE DO NOT add death certificates to any memorial I have entered.
Please use the (SAC) "Suggest A Correction", which is under the EDIT button on each memorial, for any of the following:
- if you have additional information
- transfer requests.
NOTE: When requesting a transfer, I would like to know your relationship to the individual.

One correction, her name was Alabama rather than "Albama".
Alabama Small "Balma" Dean memorial 17868201 was the daughter of John Shields Small memorial 17868224 and Mattie Buffington Small memorial 17868258.
She was born in Alabama and died in Caldwell, Burleson County, Texas.

I am so sorry. I don't know how I missed the memorial for Robert. I thought I had searched/ checked for my family before I began adding information about them. Would like to transfer all the information I have on his memorial Robert William Coleman#82427912 to your memorial? I can copy it in a word document and send it to you if you would like? Please let me know. Again I am sorry for the duplication.

Hi Trisha, Just sent this to someone who created a 2nd memorial for R. W. Coleman:
Working on Chriesman Cemetery today and noticed that you had created a 2nd memorial for Robert William Coleman in 2011 (hers is memorial 82427912). Trisha created one in 2007, memorial 17883704. I would imagine the 2 could be combined. Trisha is very easy to work with and has provided all kinds of information and help to me as Iíve worked on this cemetery.
Hereís an obit for Robert William Coleman:
From: "Caldwell Newspapers, Burleson Co, TX 1897-1929 Birth and Death Notices" by Linda Faust Houck, 1999: Page 181: "July 16, 1915: Robert William COLEMAN, age 79y 6m 3d died at his home near Chriesman Monday morning, July 13, 1915 after a long illness with that dreaded disease cancer. Remains were laid to rest in Chriesman Cemetery. Deceased was a gallant Confederate soldier and served in Co. D., 24th Mississippi Regiment. He was a native of South Carolina, coming to Texas in 1883, settling in Brymer where he lived until about 9 years ago, when he moved to his present home near Chriesman. Wife and following children survive, John COLEMAN of Temple, Mrs. Mary COMPTON and Calvin COLEMAN, of Chriesman, Mrs. Sara ONSTOTT, of this city, and Mrs. Fannie SNYDER, of Wichita, Kansas.Ē
Hope you're well.

I haven't heard from you in awhile; hope you both are well. We've slowed down considerably as well. Right now, there are so many snake reports and not just in our area I'm almost afraid to wander about the cemeteries. What happened to theory a cold winter keeps them in check! :) - Dee
