Hi I am Tyler McCane and am located in Mendota, Illinois.|
My passion for history and genealogy has led me to start photographing my local cemetery. I've been doing this for a while now.
Corrections: If you find a memorial that I have created and have additional information or a correction (I try my best to make sure what I have entered is correct) then please send me a SAC. Please allow 48 hours for the correction to be made. If it is still not made after that, send another SAC just in case I didn't get it somehow or I accidentally deleted it from my e-mail. I usually do corrections within 24 hours.
Transfers: If you are a relative of the decedents memorial, please request a transfer. Again, please allow up to 48 hours for me to transfer it to you. If you are not a relative and just want to add information, please use the SAC feature.
Projects: I am working currently on Restland Cemetery in Mendota, Illinois (where I live.) I am about 80% complete with photographing and uploading all the stones in that cemetery. Please note that if the grave is unreadable/broken to the point of not being able to read it, it may not be uploaded. What I am going to do after I have completely photographed the cemetery is go back to those unreadable (at the time) and try to read them. After completion of Restland Cemetery, I will be working on other cemeteries in Mendota and in the La Salle/Bureau County, Illinois area. Please be patient as I am the only one photographing the whole cemetery.
I am related to A LOT of people in Restland Cemetery. I usually will leave a flower/note on the memorial if I am related. Please, unless you are a close relative, do not request a transfer.
Please contact me with any questions and use the SAC and transfer functions. It's very rewarding to me to be able to connect the deceased with a family member. If possible, please leave a note on that person's memorial if you are related.
I am also part of the FindAGrave forums (username TylerJamesMcCane.)

Thank you again for a quick link, this time to her mother. Had I known earlier where her mother was buried, I could have combined requests for you. Have happy holidays - Jim

Thank you for linking Cevilla to her father, Lavenson Rogers. Now I'll see about getting his Civil War data added and having his name spelling tweaked, via Find A Grave. :-) - Jim

Thank you so much for your work and adding the Okeys to the record. You have solved many mysteries for me. The family are cousins of my great grandmother, George Leach Okey being the brother of my great grandmother's mother. Thank you again.

You are very welcome

Thanks again for creating this memorial with headstone photo and for the transfer. It has helped me a great deal with my family research.
FYI -- John, Hester, Hallie, and Eddie Stewart are in unmarked graves at Zion. They have never had stones. there was once a fence. but it was removed long ago.

I am doing genealogy research on this family. Are you a relative of any of the following? Harold, Nola, Gene, Roland or Brad Faber?
|Kathleen Clemence||Frank and Mattie Johnson - Restland|
Many thanks Tyler for the photo of Frank and Mattie's headstones - really appreciate you expending your time and effort!
|Marcus Whitt||Michael Buster-Stones River National Battlefield|
I could not find him on the VA.gov, burial location at Stones River and also a burial location is not listed on the file they have. Do you have a burial location at Stones River.

Your very welcome. I don't live there but I am active in Find A Grave and we went there for another reason and just did a drive through with the list of photo requests and we were able to find your family!
