Bio and Links
Bio Photo I got interested in my geneology after I did some restoration on the Chapin plot.

Samuel Chapin ( in the plot ) was my three times great grandfather.Samuel was a Veteran of the Revolutionary and War of 1812.
Samuel's son James Corse, my twice great. I have yet to locate him or his death date.
James Corse's son Walter, my great.
Walter's son Frank, my grand.Walter was in the Civil War.
Frank's son Clayton, my father.

I have finished plotting the Oquawka Cemetery.
I have almost 3900 burials in a data base by plot number.
I can find any burial in a very short time now.
Some stones that were there in 1980, I can not find now.
If you need help finding someone, just let me know, I can help with that.

When ever possible I put the plot number in my memorials. I know this does most people no good, but it does help me locate them. There is no online map to the cemetery and until this year there was no map of what is called the West Addition. I made one. The cemetery association now has one and I have the original.

Thank you in advance for transferring any memorials to me.
It's nice to get them under one roof,so to speak.

If I can help you in any way, just ask and I'll try.
And any help you can give will be greatly appreciated,
Ron

Picture of Tom Putney
I've never seen that picture before! I STILL haven't found Tom's father's burial - he has hidden himself well. His second wife moved to Ramsey County, MN and is prob. buried there (with their son Clell Fernon) but no Harry Mc!

RE: Tom Putney
Thank You! I am busting my brain tonight trying to find the names of Orrin Drew Patch's three children - I have one! Since I put Dennis Michael and Susannah (Drew) Patch's burials in at Ellison Cemetery, my life has certainly gotten exciting. You can barely read the stone, but it's theirs! A Drew married one of my great aunts - that's what got this started. I ended up with a complete map and list of burials of Park Cemetery in Douglas, WY, which is where Charles E Drew, Jr. is buried!

RE: Problem with Watson family
I know -I just got the spoiled food out of our refrigerator today! I'm glad it wasn't too cold - we just sat around with candles. I'm still thinking what to do with these memorials - I'll send the pictures to the person you transferred the memorial to, if he has an email listed. The double stones is what I think happened, too. Good luck this weekend - SNOW.

Problem with Watson family
Hey - how are you? Happy New Year!

I have run into a problem with the Watson family - I found a stone for George C. Watson (1818 - 1877) at Monmouth Cemetery and you have him at Fall Creek in Rozetta, Henderson County, IL.

The problem is that I have his wife, Catharine, at Monmouth (1828 - 1916) and his children, Lucy (1851 - 1872) and Mark (1865 - 1866). There are also stones for the kids at Fall Creek, Rozetta. I don't know what to do.

I haven't been to Fall Creek so I know the pictures I have aren't from there. You can see a picture of the Watson family stone on May B. Watson's marker (1858 - 1951). It looks like it has a War Marker in front of it - that would be for a male member of the family.

Let me know what you think. Why would they have stones at Monmouth and at Fall Creek? Should I make a page for Catharine at Monmouth and link her burial site to George's at Fall Creek, even though he has a stone at Monmouth, too?

I only write hysterical emails when I run into a problem like this - thanks for any help you can send.

RE: George Strong
Thank you for the explanation. Now it makes sense. You can resubmit the edit now if you wish. When the edit for Mrs. is processed, it will update on his memorial as well. Thanks

Fullertons at Oquawka Cemetery
Lemuel Fulerton is my 2nd great grand uncle. I was working Grave Search and found that you had done some work on the Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka, Henderson, Illinois. From some research on previous family members I have birth and death dates for most of the fullerton's in this cemetery. I notice that you have Mary Catherine Louch Fullerton and Hugh R Fullerton as having obits but no stone. Is it possible get a copy of the obits and do you believe they are buried their? Appreciate the information you have provided and hope we can communicate in the future. If ever you are looking for information in Minnesota I will be more than happy to help you get it.

Thanks.

Beverly Fullerton Swanson.

Thank You!
Thanks for the dates on the McClanahan's - I hope you're doing well. I'm plugging along, adding pictures to the memorials I've created. I took another 300 pictures this morning - just what I need!
