Bio and Links
Bio Photo Because of fires, floods and loss, I started photographing all the markers in Jackson Co Michigan in Nov 2006. We've discovered the 1927 DAR WPA cemetery transcription project didn't have anyone actually walk any of the county cemeteries. They obtained the information from cemetery records, church records and neighbors. Fortunately for all of us this included records of those graves with no markers. Most of the early cemetery records have perished along with some of the cemeteries. Hopefully, we will be able to provide info for descendants of the early/current residents of Jackson County Michigan. By using census, marriage, death and local history information we try to make our entries as complete as possible. Email with info on your ancestors and we'll add them to any of our records. We'll be happy to help you in your search.

Currently, I'm working on adding maiden names to as many memorials as possible.

As of 22 Aug 2009 Jackson Co FAG volunteers have 66,501 burials recorded, by Jan 2010 72,323 burials and by Jan 2013 101,483 burials. Many of the cemeteries have been completed with pics.

Please request edits, corrections & transfers thru the SAC tab (edit tab on the memorial page) and not here on the home page. Remember to check the new "edit" tab on your own homepage to see the corrections/additions sent to you.

Thanks to all those FAGer's who have trusted me to take care of their memorials and have transferred their memorials over to me while they take a leave from findagrave.

Not sure why my email disappeared from the contact info:

Ethel Gamble and Frank Gamble
You have Ethel D. Dibble Gamble, Memorial #81039989 listed as wife to Frank Gamble, Memorial #26579295. She was not married to this Frank Gamble, but to Frank C. Gamble, Memorial #97411430. Wife, Mary Elizabeth Becker Barnes and children Clyde F. Gamble and Irene Gamble Shipman are also the wife and children of Frank C. Gamble #97411430 and not Frank Gamble #26579295. I put information in Edit tab on memorial for Ethel. Also, the D does stand for Dibble because her middle initial is M (not shown on headstone). Ethel was buried in Springport, where her son, Lyle Becker (by her first husband), Memorial #81014857 was buried, but you will also see her name on headstone with husband Frank C. Gamble in Hastings with no death date on headstone. Thank you for your hard work.

RE: Lovelace
Thanks so much for your help! I couldn't find his death record. And it does list a later year of birth than his draft registration, which is what I thought. It helps to know I have the right person!

Jacob and Rachel COOPER Springport
Hi Deb,

Trying to Find my Samuel COOPER married to Lucinda HOFFMAN. I think that he is the Samuel listed on your Findagrave site.

The people that I am working with to prove a connection to this Jacob and Rachel had Rachael Rickabaugh as the mother of Samuel. BUT! that marriage record says S.W. COOPER not Jacob.

Would you Please lead us to the doc that show Rachel Armstrong marriage to Jacob COOPER. Our COOPER line was in Stark Co OHIO in the 1830's

Thank you for showing us the way and recording all of the grave sites and pictures.

I'm Jill Jessen Hernandez in Laguna Niguel, So Calif

Hi Deb,

This evening, I have created links to this couple, our direct ancestors, from the memorial of their oldest son, Daniel E., who died down in El Paso, TX in 1904.

Earlier, he had lived in Summerfield, Marshall Co., Kansas, with his brother, Albert.

Always fascinates me to think of these people who travelled so far in a time when it was all by foot, horseback, etc.

Thank you so much. The information you have gathered and posted, particularly for Jackson County, has answered many questions. I am really grateful for your efforts.

Hi Deb,

Thank you for photographing my Dad's grave at Highland Cemetery in Brooklyn Michigan. My husband and I have walked the cemetery twice and cannot find the tombstone. The church, city hall, county have not been able to help me and I don't have a call back from the sexton.

Would you have a record of where you saw this grave at Highland?

Thank you for your help. And thank you for doing this find work.
