Happy Always Benjamin
Thank-you in advance. I have been building my family tree in Ancestry; I have added some pictures to some of the memorials. I would like to add my grandfatherís name to their memorial. My Grandfatherís name was Walter George Benjamin, my Grandmotherís name was Wilma Pounds Benjamin, and they were both from Colfax. I grew up with spending time in Colfax and have very fond memories. MY Mom was Phyllis Benjamin Rogers.

RE: Sophronia Curtis Blodgett
I don't have any pics of Sophronia but you never know when someone might have one. I am glad to find out your husband is related. That would make us cousins. I am actually related on the Curtis and the Blodgett side. I've researched both lines quite a bit. I'd be happy to share with you what I know. Thank you again!

RE: Coresta Hoagland Photo
The tombstone is in very poor condition. I could barely read it in person even by braille--I only found it because I have a copy of a transcription that was done in 1984. That said, I played around with the photo in Photoshop and also looked at the transcription (which unfortunately was not literal) and here's the best I can do:

(top two words unreadable)
memory of
wife of
Joseph (unreadable, presumably Hoagland)
d July 18 1874
Aged 37 yr 9 mo
(unreadable word) daughter
July 23 1874
Aged 1 mo 13 da

How sad for Joseph--it looks like Coresta died shortly after childbirth and then their daughter died a few days after her mother.

Are they relatives of yours?

I also uploaded photos of Albert's wife Eva's grave to her memorial at #95072391.

FYI, Effie shared her tombstone with her mother Coresta. If you create a memorial for Effie, feel free to reuse the photo I uploaded for Coresta.

Let me know when you have made the memorials for her parents as the child has to be linked. You can't link the parents to the child.
