FAG has changed its policy regarding member copyright. Though I don't like that they did not continue to protect the copyright of their contributors in regards to Ancestry.com usage there is not much I can do about it. I STILL retain copyright to my photos and do not give permission for them to be republished in any form. That means NO to FamilySearch, that means NO to your personal webpage, that means NO to any other use by you other than attaching to your private family tree in your private family tree files on your computer. You may not use my photos to publish your book, send to family etc.

Whether you understand or agree with me about this matter or not, I have the right to make that choice for my work. I will not argue copyright with you.

***Transfer Request Rules LINK***
Please use the edit tab at the top right of the memorial you are referring to when sending updates, links and transfer requests.
(Please take the time to read the transfer request rules by following the link above). For the most part, I adhere to the transfer guidelines. I do NOT add link to a burial unknown memorial. This is FINDAGRAVE folks! Not "List Everyone Who Ever Died"!

NOTE: FAG FAQ say not to add cut and paste obituaries. In trying to comply with this rule I have turned down adding obituaries that have been sent to me. It has become apparent that FAG is adding these obits when people send them to edit@. Since FAG admins are adding I will too. Remove the names of the living before sending the obituary per FAG's "other" rule and the obituary must have attribution too.

NOTE 2: Before there was a rule against it. I added many obituary scans to memorials from our local newspaper from the early 1900. I have now attempted to go back and transcribe all of these into the bio area. Unfortunately it is very difficult to find ones that are not on my own memorials. If you find one please bring it to my attention and I will transcribe it and send it to the memorial manager. Thank you for your help.

I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear but I had gone though that section looking twice when I finally decided to check at the office and they confirmed that the grave is there but no marker. I will try and photograph where the grave is without the marker if you would like.

Thank you for this and I'm not sure that is enough when looking for deceased family members. I think you did good and will continue to do so.

RE: Duplicates
HI Chuck. Not particularly unhappy, just sort of surprised at the find. My old friend Mildred has been looking for this lady for some time and since verifying the existence of the family for her in the 1880, 1885 and 1895 state and federal Iowa census in Clay County, it seemed reasonable that she had to have been buried prior to the leaving of the Smith family to go to Colorado. It's easy to see how old stones can be hard to read when the letters are so shop warn" by time.

Just was odd to see the lady mentioned as another man's wife on one page and her obit and marriage to another man at the same time! The find of her grave in Clay County also matches Mildred's bible records for her death.

Thank you for the note.
Regards,
Linda

RE: Photo request
Ok so i went to Garland to take another photo of the existing one you have for that cemetery. I took a photo of every headstone in that cemetery and nobody by that name there. This in regards to Henry Davis Thompson. I just got back 25 minutes ago i will check the link you gave me also, and post that with new picture i had taken. Strange think about that Clarkson Cemetery. I have come across 2 other people who are said to be there and are not at that place.

RE: Emerson Requests
That's fine. I was interested in safeguarding them precisely for the same reason. Plus, since you have over 20,000 memorials, I thought you might be willing to let two of them go. Also, I wasn't sure if you would take my edits. But since you indicated some favoritism in that general direction, I will begin tonight.
