I am working on family genealogy. |
Franklin Co. surnames are Watson, Dye, Drake, Holloway, Williams.
Lauderdale Co. surnames are Watson, Harrison, Love
Tishominogo Co. surnames are Watson, Williams
Warren Co: Reynolds, Byars, Evans
I am also researching the many enslaved persons of my ancestors:
Watson: in York Co., SC and Tishomingo Co.,MS
Evans, Byars, Dodson in Warren Co., TN
Reynolds in DeKalb Co., TN
With more to follow as I find them. To date I have recovered the names of 19 enslaved persons from wills and deeds.
Also researching my husbands name, Armstrong,
in Virginia and Ohio.
My mother was an accomplished genealogist who published the "Evans Family 1700-1983 by Marjorie Stewart Tucker". I was not that interested earlier in life but caught the bug as a result of the show Who Do You Think You Are and also the ancestry commercials. I am tracing my own family but also tracing the ancestry of the two African descent women who worked for us growing up.
In my other life I train and trial Miniature Schnauzers in competitive obedience. I'm also an RN and love my work as a hospital nurse.
I will turn over management of any grave if the person is closer to you than I am.

|V Olsen||122178725 Elizabeth Robinson|
Elizabeth Davis was born April 12 1847 in Stockport, England.. She married William Robinson on July 7, 1867. William immigrated to the United States in 1869 and Elizabeth followed in 1870 with their son James. They settled in Lincoln Gulch becoming one of itís first families. They had several more children Joe, Annie, Charlie, Mary, Bob, Lily, Tom, Nellie, Sadie, Sam and Arthur.
William Robinson died in 1895, and Elizabeth sold the ranch and moved to Helena, Montana. Elizabeth passed away 14 May 1912.
I was hoping to add a bio and link Elizabeth to her family members. I still have to establish that W. Robinson in the Old Lincoln Cemetery is William Robinson. I still have to figure out how to go about that but I was hoping to link the others in the mean time. Not sure if you would rather me do it or if you would be willing to do it. Either way I would be very grateful. Thank you.

|David Shannon||Eva Fay Millegan 121067087|
Eva Fay Ward was born on August 2, 1882 in Wisconsin. She married Gene W. Millegan on May 17, 1913. They were the *parents* of Sidney Willard Millegan, born in 1916. He and his wife Margaret Eileen Shannon, born in 1919, cannot possibly be the parents of Eva Fay, born in 1882, as clearly shown on her gravestone. She died on January 26, 1940, the year that is also shown on the gravestone. Then Gene W. Millegan married Katherine I Mackenzie, the widow of Frank Snow Bull. Georgia A. Rudio, who was another relative (can't place the relationship at the moment) died in 1942, and was buried next to Eva Fay Millegan. Most likely Gene expected to be buried along side his new wife Katherine, or it was simply convenient to use his original spot for Georgia. In any case, Gene died in 1963, and has a separate headstone, (121067088) adjacent to Eva Fay and Georgia? Katherine Mackenzie Bull Millegan died in 1977, and was buried next to her first husband Bull. Her name was already on the gravestone, and the name "Milligan" was added beneath her original name and dates. Why that spelling was chosen, I am not sure. Most of the family used the Millegan spelling. Her memorial is 95499571. So it was musical graves, you might say. No wonder there has been confusion. But showing Sidney and Margaret as Eva Fay's parents just has to get changed. I've submitted an edit to Sidney's memorial #142208184, showing Gene and Eva Fay as his parents.
|LYZ||I have a big doubt|
Hello, I've been looking for information on my last Bestick name, and found a lot of information, but I have a big doubt, my relatives from the parents of the parents of my grandfather are from Ireland, that the name was translated in several variants asThey are BESTICK, BESTICH, BEASTICK, BESTICH, BRSTIC, BRESTEC ..... are some I've found, are all relatives ... my question is there some relationship with us?
