Thanks for the photo!
Thank you for getting Guy's tombstone!

While it's my great-granduncle, it will help out his children. The dates were great to have, though.

RE: Nickolas Szawaluk
Hi Becca. I couldn't have found your family's locations without the help of the cemetery staff. Johnny spent an hour on the phone with me while he looked through the old record books, and Richard showed me how to find the plots on the old cemetery map in the office. Seven out of the ten people I was looking for didn't have headstones - I never would have found them! Richard sells headstones and he gave me his card. In case you want to call him - Pequest Granite Memorials - 908-339-1262. This is one of the nicer cemeteries I've been to, and I hope I get more photo requests. Joan

RE: Nickolas Szawaluk
Hi Becca. Since the Find-A-Grave site has been down for a few days, I haven't been able to let you know that I found Nickolas' grave. I posted his picture last night. I also posted pictures of Jean and George Szawaluk who are buried behind Nickolas - maybe his parents? I also found Ernest Smith and Helen Wicki. Helen doesn't have a stone - you'll see what I did. I see that Baby Boy Wicki's parents are Stephen and Julia. I found his parents in Section M, but no mention of the baby on the stone. However, on the back of their stone is the name "Carol A." and the date of January 11, 1941 - who is she? You indicated that the baby is buried in Section F - I'll look there again. This is a very nice cemetery and it's easy to walk through. Regards, Joan S.

Nickolas Szawaluk
Hi Becca. I'm searching for graves at the Pequest Union Cemetery. I found a group of graves for Szawaluk. They include Frances, Helen, Stephanie and Theodore. It's possible that, if Nickolas is part of this family and he's buried there, that he doesn't have a headstone. Do you know if he has one? If you're sure he's buried with them, I can post a picture of the monument that's there with just "Szawaluk" engraved on it. Let me know. Joan S.

Mount Hope, St Johns Palatine, IL
I wanted to let you know that on Sunday June 29th, St John UCC will be hosting Pioneer Day on church grounds from 9:30 to 4:00 including cemetery walks. I'm trying to get as many people with ties to the cemetery to attend. Were are digging deeper into the history of all the graves and need help from those tied to it. I can send you a pdf of the event info if you'd like.

Robert Wart at Oakridge - Glen Oaks Cemetery
Good morning Agent. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to contact Oakridge - Glen Oak Cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot Numbers) for your photo request(s), ask them whether or not there is a grave marker, and then either post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Mission Coordinates: Oakridge-Glen Oak Cemetery: 708-344-5600

Should you choose not to accept this mission, your photo request(s) will most likely continue to go unfulfilled. This message will not self destruct in five seconds. Good luck Agent!

Mission Commander

Find A Grave Memorial:

Mission Background: Oakridge - Glen Oak Cemetery is a massively humongous cemetery with well over 100,000 burials. Burial plot information is vital in order to photograph a grave for you. Oakridge - Glen Oak disavows all photo volunteers, refusing to aid them in finding graves, so your mission is indispensable and integral to helping fulfill your photo request.

From the Find A Grave Dossier: All personnel are advised that Find A Grave states it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the grave plot (section and lot number) to assist the volunteer photographers.

Mission Success: Last year your Mission Commander successfully completed almost 100 photo missions at Oakridge - Glen Oak Cemetery that had the grave location provided by the photo requestor. In just over a year he successfully concluded over 1,500 photo missions with over 700 successful missions already in 2014.

Mission Failure: Impossible
